I recently received a reply to a job application. Now is it necessary for the company to offer relocation benefits? Also i would only have 64 points with this offer. Could anyone offer me further advice?

Dear *****,

We received your job application. Thank you for your interest in career opportunities with *******.

Unfortunately, no relocation benefits are being offered for the position at this time. Please feel free to contact me when you relocate to the Toronto area.

Thanks again for your time.

Sincerely

*****

Hm...this letter doesnt look like a job offer to me...
Anyway, I think the easiest way to increase the points from 64 to 67 is to improve your IELTS score...

i read it as if i could make it to the Toronto area, get in contact and it's likely there would be a job for me. As for improving language skills, i have full points for english and all my French points were set at basic level. I agree it maybe easier just to brush up on my French to gain those few points.

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,
I dont think the CIC will read it as a job offer, and will give points for this letter - but if you are confident they are going to propose you a job once you are in Toronto - may be you can get it in writing from the company.
Another faster option would be to get a job offer and get a work permit. Then once you are in canada, it will be easier to apply for permanent residence.
