Hey,

I am planning to pursue my Postgraduate /Masters in filmmaking from Canada. Is it a possibility if I can get a work in production houses/Media houses after completing my course? I would like to work and may be later would like to avail the Citizenship.

It's a pretty difficult field to break into - but anything is possible. Make sure you attend a recognized university or public college and ensure your program is at least two years long so that you qualify for a three year PGWP.

Note that you cannot apply for citizenship directly. You have to apply to become a permanent resident first.

Much thanks for the reply. I actually meant work permit and not PR or Citizenship. My bad. Although, after a lot of research and consultations I guess my graduation marks (accountancy) is becoming a barrier to study further even after having the relevant work experience in filmmaking (the same field where I want to expand my knowledge by getting theoretical knowledge too)

It's generally extremely difficult to secure a work permit since your employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA.
