My suggestion for those who are planning to apply for study permit for January 2019 intake apply for study permit at least 4 month in advance no later than end of September. SDS is not in this category, but even for SDS give at least 60 days. If you apply later than those days, do not book your flights early or at least book only refundable flights. Your application could be delayed for various reasons. My application is still under review and it has been more than 90 now. I did mistake booking non-refundable flights early and lost ample amount of money. I do not want you do the same mistake.

Applied on May 24 general online track for September 2018 intake. It has been more than 90 days. My application is still under review and I doubt they can finish any time soon. Yesterday, I re-applied for university for January 2019 intake. Unfortunately, they do not provide deferral second time which I used already once. I have not received new admission decision from university, yet. Within what time do I need to provide new Admission Letter to IRCC? I would appreciate if you could share your knowledge and experience with long term application review and re-submission of new Admission Letters to IRCC.

Canada and US share immigration records but they do not share applicant's educational and work documents.

They won't have access to your work experience info. You will have to submit all documents once again.

Ofcourse not. It won't result in any problem for you or your application. But mind you, any false info would not be entertained, they have ways to determine documents' credibility.

i agree. based from posts in different threads, a lot of applicants suffered from delayed processing in their visa applications, while some got theirs in just 2 or 3 weeks (both from SDS and regular stream). even GIC processing seems to be unpredictable. therefore, it is better to have ample time than to rush one’s application.
