I am planning to Travel back home India around Oct- Nov but my Citizenship application is stuck at LPP will I be able to fly out on Indian passport and what if they cleared LPP when I am in India and send oath/ceremony why I am outside. Will I have to apply again and re-test ?
My application submitted in Jan last week 2025/.

Yup, one my friends didn't know what LPP means, didn't even know that tracker existed, just relied on emails and got their Citizenship in 3.5 months. I don't know what my office is yet but assuming its Vancouver. I might call them next week if there is no movement.
Is there an offices which are faster processing and other slower ?

Unproven but a lot of opinions. Everybody who thinks their file is going slowly thinks 'their' office is slow.

One poster in March thread called IRCC and got info that ALL files go through vancouver office for some part (background I think).

If that's true you can see the issue: people who are worried enough and think their files are delayed call and find out their file is or has been in Vancouver. Those who aren't worried and don't even know there is a tracker OR go through very quickly and don't get around to calling never have any idea their file ever went to Vancouver.

Perfect sampling/social media storm to spread idea that Vancouver is slow, based on IRCC processing files differently than people think.

Again, if true.

I agree! In hindsight I wish I just apply and forget it. A friend didn't even know the tracker was a thing, and lived in ignorant bliss for 5 months till he got his oath invitation. I should have done that lol!

I also agree most applications likely runs through Vancouver. IRCC processing is a black box, so it's just down to luck on whose application gets done the fastest.

No, you just have to delay your oath until you are back.

All files go to Vancouver for LLP, though some non-routine apps are also sent there for BG. In addition, it also serves as primary office for some applicants.

Poor Vancouver, gets all the bad rap but it works overtime on everything :D :D.

I just read about the oath ceremony on Reddit and came across such a post - long story short, the op received an email one day before his scheduled in person oath ceremony, the email said his ceremony was cancelled and the sender was IRCC. He thought it was a scam and still went anyways, he wasn’t allowed in by the staff and was able to speak with the judge. The judge told him that while he was reviewing all the applicants’ file yesterday, he sent the OP’s file back for further review. OP eventually got another ceremony in a month. There were also other posts said the same thing happened and there was even a girl said after they cancelled hers, she never heard back and IRCC even wouldn’t renew her PR card so she left Canada three years after IRCC cancelled her ceremony…
I tend to worry all the time but … this is just so surprising and upset …

Which offices are the fastest?

You should do what my spouse does: get your spouse to check obsessively and then ask them once a week if there's any news.

See above in this thread. There are opinions about which offices are fastest, or slowest - and those opinions may or may not be correct or up-to-date.

There are some things you can see relatively easily from looking at the tracker spreadsheets (order of processing, average times and some trends) if you pay attention to the limitations (e.g. the sheet fills up with dates/progress for those that go more quickly than for files that are average or slow).

And there are some things that are like reading chicken entrails in terms of reliability, since we don't actually know the internal processes.

I wouldn’t worry if I were you. This sounds like a very very low possibility. I guarantee there’s more to the story of the girl who never heard back and couldn’t renew her PR

There used to be 3 months grace period but now BLS website mentions that you have to surrender indian passport as soon as you acquire foreign citizenship. Link- https://www.blsindia-canada.com/toronto-jurisdiction/surrender-of-india-citizenship.php

I called today, I was told Vancouver is the primary office, Scarborough is secondary office and the one in charge of processing my application, security has been cleared, my application is routine so she said it should be soon that I will be seeing some movement. I really hope so, I am still waiting for LPP to be cleared. At least I am in peace for now seeing thay my application is routine.

finally got through to IRCC. No updates really. All they said was that the application was within the normal timeline and to wait. Its being processed at Vancouver.
Test was sent by Scarborough and completed on March 10. LPP awaited.

What did you ask exactly? The agent I talked to wouldn't even tell me if my application is routine. I wonder if some agents just have the kindness to give us more info than they are supposed to.
