You have a very unusual timeline, they sent you an ADR before the AOR?

Hi everyone
Do you know how much time it takes between showing DM on ECAS and receiving Portal 1 email?
I am inland, paper based, Ontario

Thanks for sharing your experience

Yeah that threw me off! and the ADR was not a bunch of documents it was just for a birth certificate.
Oh, ok, interesting. If you don't mind my asking, was it a birth certificate that you had forgotten to include or were they just asking you to resend what you already submitted?

They requested adr on 17 october
With deadline 7 days
And u uploaded them on 21 november ?

I had not submitted it with my application because it was not on the document checklist that they asked me to submit. I'm guessing afterwards they might have needed it so they asked for it. Seems like I am the only one with such a distorted timeline from the forums I have read.

Yeah it's pretty rare, I think I've only seen two (including you). Oh well let's hope we all get PR for Christmas.

Why they are asking for employment letter , banking record ….etc I thought those docs are only required during PNP nomination stage

Why they are asking for employment letter , banking record ….etc I thought those docs are only required during PNP nomination stage
Not really sure about that, only the IRCC knows. It is even stranger since my PNP nomination is not job-based. However, in an earlier post, @moscatojuices pointed out that they may be requesting all of this to confirm your eligibility. That actually appears to be the only logical explanation. For example, see the section on "decision on your application" at https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ovincial-nominees/after-apply-next-steps.html.

I have no idea if that explains the list of documents that they wanted, but it appears to be the most likely explanation of why they wanted all the docs. Though I still think that it is excessive, especially when we are not told more directly that these will/may be required later in the application process.
