Very happy! We had lost all hope due to all the delays. We were thinking about looking at the process of PR renewal but hopefully now we don't need toWoohoo!! That's great news! Glad you weren't left in limbo of uncertainty too long! So looks like someone started updating your file, and then went home for the weekend as soon as 4pm hitor got pulled away mid-update to work on something urgent. Hopefully you'll get your oath date scheduled in the next week or two! Congrats on getting one step closer to officially become a Canadian Citizen!
Oh, and the tracker will say in progress until after the oath. Once it says "closed", that is when the citizenship certificate is printed and mailed to you. It will stay "in progress" until it has been printed and mailed.

We still haven't had citizenship test invite yet... We're debating whether we should just pull it, and resubmit online since they seem to be processing online applications pretty quickly! But, right after we submit it online, maybe they'll decide to put online on the backburner and focus on the paper applications... So I think we'll just keep waiting for the citizenship invite...Very happy! We had lost all hope due to all the delays. I think at one point they were inviting online applicants for tests a lot faster and may be they still do, but i also noticed that those applicants didn't get their test update status everything else charged to completed with Decision made, as soon as paper applicants did.
Because most of the paper applicants are seeing those updates within a month after they wrote their tests. And some online applications got updated a few months after they attempted the test. So it's a waiting game one way or the other..
My assessment could be wrong ..
But don't lose hope after waiting for so long! I really hope you hear something soon.. very soon..

Congrats! Updated status for you! You should hopefully have your oath scheduled in the next month or so, if not sooner.
I think keeping the paper application in is better than starting afresh with online. Eventually they will have some obligation to get it done once things go back to normal! All the best! Hope all of us get there soon!

So my application (paper) is Jan 2021 submitted, and no update since April 2021.
My local MP's office very kindly looked into it, and called me back with an update (within 24 hours of submitting the consent form to the MP office - very happy to see the responsiveness).
Apparently my application has been classified as "non-routine" and the officer has put "Do not disclose" on the file.
I am surprised - there's nothing on my file that should make it non-routine but now its just stuck. They also told me that the file is actually still in Sydney and not Mississauga office.

Your citizenship test invite is giving me a lot of hope! Your paper app was delivered two days before ours, your AOR was 2 days before ours, and your background check was complete three days before ours... Hoping for some good news later this week or next week
Although,, mine is being processed by Ottawa so timeline probably will be different, but I can hope
