Yep!! I was really confused as well since it said the form was updated in November 2020, but they literally didn't update the website with the new form or the new instruction guide or the new document checklist until January 20, 2021. I thought I was going crazy too as I had just looked at the website a week before and couldn't understand why everything was different.

I, too, just submitted the older 2019 forms. It was express posted on January 18th, and it arrived yesterday on January 21st, so too late to update to the new forms. But, other than not being able to be validated, crossing my fingers that it is all filled out properly and won't get rejected!

4.00pm: I shipped my application at Canada post .
5.00pm: I came back to my home and checked citizenship application in my computer. Everything ( application, checklists, guidelines)is changed.

I really shocked at that time.

currently, my application in transit.

We are in safe situation . IRCC saying, old versions will be accepted until the end of February, 2021.

Friends, I moved to Canada on Nov 30 2017 and I did not have any income in 2017. I have had filed tax return with zero income for the year 2017. I have also filed tax for year 2018 and 2019.
I have completed more than 1095 days in Canada with no trips outside.

Should I apply for citizenship with tax return of 2017,2018 and 2019or wait for tax return/NOA for year 2020? Please provide direction.

3 taxes sufficient for citizenship application, as you said you are 1095 + days in physical presence and if met all other requirements, please download the new form (Updated version ..Updated on 20th January 2021 evening). Fill the form validate and get your bar code and gather your documents along with physical presence calculator and documents check list. Send the form. Wish you good luck

Looks like only the Adult application forms are updated, i checked the minor application forms, and it is still in the same format as 2019? Can someone please confirm this?

For people applying in 2021 , there are new forms and new things to consider:

1. The Physical Online Calculator eligibility period shows the date range "To" date one day before the Application date. This is in an issue with the new CIT0002 form because question 9 a) asks you for your eligibility period which is exactly one year including the Application date. For example, the physical online calculator would say 2016-03-30 to 2021-03-29 while the form would say 2016-03-29 to 2021-03-29.

I have sent a webfrom to inquire about how we should handle this. I will be applying in February but wanted to get everything ready.
For now, I set the temporary status start date to match what is in the application form, even if the online calculator shows a warning. I was able to save it and it shows as complete. But again, I will wait for IRCC instructions.

Guys, please be noted that Canada citizenship applications for adults 5(1) and minors 5(2) are updated last evening.

Current updated form versions are CIT 0002(10-2020), CIT 0003(10-2020). Validation process introduced in new forms.

If your application reaching to CPC-Sydney on or after March 1, 2021 you should use these forms

For the Online Physical Calculator, in case there is a gap between 2 temporary permits (study permit to work permit) ,, do you think is is worth including it as an Implied Status ??

I have a question i need help with about Police certificate. I became PR (PR landing) in June 2017 and now applying for my citizenship. I was in US before 2017 (for more than 183 days) on a student visa (Been in US on student visa since 2012). I submitted by FBI report back then for PR purposes and then I also ordered a new FBI report (needed it again as part of my background check for work) on Dec 21 2018 and never visited US since I Immigrated to Canada (i.e. June 2017). My question is, do I need a new FBI summary check report to apply for citizenship?

Any help is much appreciated.
