So, the very next day of my MP's office reaching out, status changed to Test Invite! Wow! The nudge seems to have worked!!

WOW! Your MP sure worked quick! That is amazing! I guess they just needed to get them to pull your file from the graveyard of paper files, and saw that they could easily do the next step while they had it out! I think I'll be emailing my MP to see if they can work the same magic... As we are in a similar timeline as you.

Wow!! So much great news today!! Oaths scheduled, DMs made, citizenship invites.. So much getting done for the Jan applicants today. I think an email to our MP is in order I'm sorry, I don't have knowledge of the PR application withdrawal..

In same situation as yours. Anxiety has gotten to me. The first thing I check every morning is the online tracker and throughout the day, I hope to see that sweet update Citizenship Ceremony - "In Progress". I checked the excel tracker. You are I are following very similar timeline towards the penultimate steps (mine was Dec 2020). Fingers crossed. I am praying all in. Hope we both see that sweet update soon. All the best

Only 10 times?!!! Haha I've probably been checking only like 5 times a day for citizenship test invite... Hopefully you'll get scheduled for oath soon!

I think that is exactly how it might have happened!

You should drop a note to your MP too. Hopefully that will trigger it for you too!

I was thinking the same & was planning to send email to my MP. Fortunately, got test invite today without that. Will use that now after couple of weeks to trigger oath

I’m not sure how to contact my mp, I called and left a voicemail and emailed, so far no response.

Yeah totally.. I'm obsessively and anxiously waiting to see that "last update" date change .. Lol but it's a cycle. Once that's done we'll wait for "the oath day" and then to receive the certificate and then for the passport and may be apply for Nexus card and whatever else that goes in life. Lol... Humans can't stop their hustle and these things keep us busy as life goes on ...

But certainly this constant waiting game with CIC will be over.. And citizenship is a huge step for sure!

That's awesome!! I was just thinking about you, wondering when you'd finally get citizenship test invite! That's great that you were able to "save" your first email with MP to nudge the oath scheduling later.

Wow, *maybe* things are moving for me (don't want to jinx it!)
After nothing for 4 months, then Background verification completed January 27th, today I got Language Skills and Prohibitions completed (Quite how it took over a year to confirm the monolingual anglophone speaks English is a separate question)

So just Physical Presence left...

Update on my status for the tracker.

After never receiving my AOR I reached out four times about my application over the summer/fall. What happened was that they transcribed my email address incorrectly from my paper application and were sending all of the emails to a different random address. After months I finally got them to correct it and received my test invite, which has my application number on it.

Logging into the system, these are the details I have:

March 4, 2021 - AOR
April 26, 2021 - In Progress
April 28, 2021 - Background Verification Completed
June 9, 2021 - Citizenship test status to in progress
June 15, 2021 - Citizenship test scheduled for between June 15, 2021 and July 6, 2021
January 31, 2022 - Citizenship test scheduled for between January 31, 2022 and February 20, 2022. (after correcting email)

I took the citizenship test on February 2, 2022 and passed pending review.

Now, it says "In Progress" for Language Skills, Prohibitions, Physical Presence as well.

Wow! That's horrible that they transcribed your email address wrong, and it took contacting them over four times before they finally got it updated. But very nice that you finally are able to see the update on your file, and a second citizenship test invite too! Good luck on the test. I'm quite interested in your timing since we also applied from Ottawa, but are still waiting for our citizenship test invite. Hopefully soon if you got yours! I've updated the spreadsheet for you!
