Consider giving it through Kathmandu VAC.. i think they have appointments for the first week of march

Biometrics appointments in India are only available for certain type of applicants (those who can land in Canada at the moment). If you don’t fit in these categories you will have to wait until services resume fully unfortunately.

Is it not possible give it in another country? i checked nepal VAC and they are open for appointments...

I think it’s possible to go abroad. Some people posted in other threads about going to Nepal or Dubai to give biometrics.

Background Check(BGC) Status is one of the statuses we have on our profile.

Refer to this thread for general ideal about various statutes/stages of processing if you aren’t familiar with it already.

MEP was slow during the months of late oct-20 to jan-21. I think it is largely because of the lockdown within Canada in response to the covid second wave.
If you check myimmitracker for AORs for Aug-Oct 2020, they were taking less than 20-30 days on average. So they are returning to normalcy for medicals processing.

In my opinion, the recent optimistic MEP timeline should not be taken as a sign of faster processing of applications.
