It depends case to case, I have seen people getting approved in a week to people who applied on Jan 27th still waiting.
Yes, it was expired. I applied to extend my work permit and restore my status at the same time.
My PGWP expired on Sep 2020. I applied and received closed WP, and now on Mar 24 I applied for extension of my PGWP , so I do not know if they approve it if I have closed now
I see, how is the validity of the closed one? Do you still have many months or it is about to expire? Nevertheless your case is different because now you have a closed work permit.

20 August for my PNP based paper application
And they received it on
26 August,2020
I submitted fees for biometrics as well .
I haven’t received any Acknowledgment from them.
Nothing at all

when you log in, your GCKEY account will show "profile updated" instead of Submitted because they must have worked on your file.
Ar 28 August no AOR yet ... there are more people from august who are still waiting don’t worry yuu are not all alone
