I heard ircc have quota so they might be done for this year. Hopefully after New year they should start to issue/finalize files.
So are you saying that there will be no more AOR’s this year?

I read somewhere that ircc minister has said that many 2019 applications are in last stage and so they are focusing more on those ones and that has led to the increased backlog in the new applications
So i guess with many 2019 waiting for final approval AOR time will keep climbing
Started at 6 months then 6 m 10 days now almost like 6 m 15 days and with this new statement and coming holidays to 7 7.5 months

Hope that is right. I got AOR in Dec/8 and done biometric yesterday. I consider upfront medical now. By the way, the sentence at ircc account and no DM news from the applicants who did upfront like you make me hesitate to do upfront.
  • You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.

If IRCC is unable to process or even open a application in one year, then upfront medical will bring no added value, however if application is opened in six months with an upfront medical I believe it will expedite the process. its only my personal opinion. BTW we did upfront for principal applicant and all dependents.

Yes, you are right. There is a high possibility to proceed if the medical result is there. Yep I will do upfront with two dependents, wife and son. Thanks for your input.
