Received Portal email and DM on Ecas. May I ask the following questions:
1. What is the original date of entry?
I used to visit Canada when I was young, is it count as original date of entry? Or it’s the date when I first hold the study permit to study in Canada?

2. Location (port of entry): if it was Vancouver. I will just need to answer officers questions by telling him or her it was Vancouver airport (YVR). Is that correct?

Please and thank you.
Hopefully everyone will hear the good news soon.

Congrats. Yes! You need to give the date on which you entered Canada for the first time and location (City, Airport) stamped by CBSA on your passport.

Thank you very much for replying.
Sorry I just would like to confirm. So in my case I will provide the date of myself entering Canada for visiting when I was young?

Please and thank you.
Have a great day.

I had the same confusion, visited as young and more recently several holidays to Canada. I gave the date when I first entered as a worker (or student if applicable), don’t think they wanna know previous entries. Received portal credentials hours after I had replied, so far so good!

***Hey guys,

just wondering how long it will take for IRCC to review PR portal??? It’s been a week and nothing has been confirmed yet!
Does it usually take this long??
Anybody who can answer me this question? I would really appreciate it. It’s just taking a lot longer that I thought. I’m in Vancouver, and thought process was faster?

I was doing some research about the date of entry and I found this post:

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/extending-my-stay-question-date-place-of-original-entry-into-canada.201909/

Yeah, it’s very confusing. No official definition of that.
So you provided the date as a study permit/ work permit holder when you entered into Canada?
I remember it’s the time when we have to see the officer to obtain the study permit or work permit.
I think should be this date?

Please and thank you.
Have a good day.
