Hi @jeremy11235
Did you asked them why they haven’t issued COPR to you ? What were they waiting for as your file was already approved in June 2020 ? I am unable to understand their system. Usually COPR is issued In A week or two after approval, even on the same day in some cases. Only God or IRCC knows what they are doing.

They have sent the survey emails to the applicants however applicants are not even aware what decision they have made as nothing appears in online profile unless one orders GCMS or put a web form. This reveals an unprofessional approach of IRCCs towards their job.

I don’t know when our files will finally reach their destinations. God please help us.
I have called IRCC countless times. They just tell me the delay happens because of COVID every time. I contacted my MP but the only thing they can do is to ask my status which I can already do. I even went on the news in Feburary https://globalnews.ca/video/7660897/permanent-resident-applicants-still-waiting-for-approvals but it didn't help either. I have lived in Canada for the past 11 years since high school and applied visa/study and work permits at least 15 times. Really hope this goes through soon.

But it does seem like the print queue I'm in (i.e. PQ-9515-COPR) is not moving at all. A bunch of other guys (around 30 people I know in the whatsapp group) are also stuck here. I'm speculating that this is the reason. But not sure what I can do about it besides waiting.

@legalfalcon In my GCMS notes, it shows empty/blank after "application assigned to", "application assigned by" and "due date". Does it mean nobody is working on my file?

If that's the case, is there a way to ask them to assign someone?

I ordered the GCMS on February 26, 2021 so it only reflects my updates before Feb 2021.
The latest note for that is from June 18, 2020:

Hi Guy’s and @legalfalcon,
I ordered GCMS notes on 18 December and I’m still waiting!!? Does it usually take this long bcuz last set of notes I ordered i got them in 3 weeks.

Also, I notified IRCC of change of address and contact number as I have moved back from AUS to PAK for good but I have not received a response from them as yet. Is that normal?

Thank you

Hi @legalfalcon I apologise for long message.

I received the survey email on 30 March 2020 regarding my PR application (CEC inland)

Today I called IRCC to ask them that I haven’t received anything from their side regarding my PR decision, even on my portal it does not shows any signs of final decision. So what is this survey all about. Agent told me that there must be some decision made on your file, but after looking into my file agent told me that final decision is still in process and all other stages are also passed. Moreover they have also assigned my secondary office to Etobicoke.

I am really confused with the IRCCs reply. I also want to mention here that I contacted my MP regarding my application and the reply Which was given by IRCC to my MP on 21 March was as follows :

“We can provide you with the following details about the status of your constituent’s application for permanent residence under the Canadian Experience Class:
· The application was received at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney (CIO), Nova Scotia on January 20, 2020.
· The initial assessment to ensure your constituent's application is complete, has been finalized on January 20, 2020.
· The Ottawa office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if your constituent and their family members meet the eligibility requirements under the class for which they have applied.

o the eligibility requirements assessment was finalized on May 28, 2020.

· The medical examination results were reassessed and extended until:

o March 9, 2022 for “name of applicants “ and

o February 25, 2022 for “name of applicant”

· The criminality verifications are currently valid.
· The security verifications are currently valid.

· Due to COVID-19, IRCC is experiencing processing delays and we can’t provide you with accurate processing times for this application. Rest assured that we understand how important this process is for your constituent and are making all the necessary efforts to finalize the application as soon as possible.

· The application is approved and your constituent will be sent instructions regarding final steps. We suggest they maintain their temporary status valid until the landing procedure can be completed.”

According to the above reply application is said to be approved. On whom should I rely ?
