This may be a silly question, but will they ask biometrics and a medical for everyone? I finally linked my partner's application on GCKey and this is what it says:

Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

My biometrics request was sent to me last month and it still says "Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints." on my gckey lol. They are hella confusing

I’m applying through an agency and wanted to ask about the steps to linking an account. All communication from cic will go to the agency. Application reached on Jan 28th. Could someone point me to a thread on how to do it? Any advice is appreciated.

Hi guyz glad to see all the progress on your application. I have a question, cause mine was just sent my rep last march 7, after finding out she did not sent it last jan 7. My husband got laid off last feb 14, and got new job already this march and planning to get the offer of higher pay job on april. Do we need to update cic about his employment status? have to file taxes since it's that time of the year.. anyone claimed the spousal credit and spouse is back home?? it increase the tax refund a lot, but is it safe to do it? i have 2 trasnfers to her directly in last 4 months totalling around $1700.. so if cra asks for proof can i submit that trasnfer receipt??

Pl check with an accountant. I filed as married and reported that spouse is based out of country. They gave me a spousal credit last year but later asked to pay back. I never asked for spousal credit anyways and my intention was just to ensure spouse is reported to tax agency and they know I am married. I am afraid you can't claim spousal credit unless spouse is physically in Canada. but again check with an accountant. Cheers,

I don’t have any info/ experience with Amman’s VO. Guess we just have to wait and see. I’m also going to attempt to look at the past year’s tracker sheets and see if anyone got their application transferred to Amman and how their processing timelines were like. That’s the only reference we have so far. Unless someone can share a recent experience. That would be nice.
Just wanted to let you know that we’re on the same boat.
Hopefully all goes well.

Today I received notification that my application has been sent to visa office in Amman for processing. If anyone can share about Amman VO experience it would be great. Thanks!
