Are you guys trying to say IRCC is doing a terrible job? It seems like you guys know better than them. What do you guys know about IRCC protocol? Nothing, right? So please stop speculating.
- I'm not trying to say nothing.
- I don't know more than any immigration officer or IRCC .
- I know very little, just things regarding the sort of application(s) I have in progress. How I know that? Through public operational bulletin manuals that are documents that define requirements for a specific application and how the officer is supposed to evaluate it.

I'm not speculating anything. I'm evaluating what already happened in the last 3 or 4 months (specially in their twitter account), and what has changed probably because of it. The only thing bad can happen of sending a suggestion/comment to them (to help in paper based PR applications) is to have this suggestion/comment ignored.

I only expressed an opinion, and brought something to pay attention related to IRCC and its twitter posts/comments.
I don't want to argue or change anyone's minds :)

I don’t know. Probably not yet.
It is still showing as “Submitted” so I think they haven’t reviewed it yet, but 4 months after I submitted my spouse’s RCMP check and the RPRF payment I got MR, I don’t know if that means they worked on them before requesting MR or not. Lol.
IRCC drives everbody nuts. Lol.

I checked my gc key today and it was showing Application/Profile updated.

when I checked details there was change in medical. Before, my medical was showing passed on February 26.

currently it shows you do not need medical we will contact you if required.

I think it is because my wife medical got expired on July 24 and need to appear for exam again.

however, I don’t have medical request. Status changed from medical passed to Standard message.

when I passed medical it was also application/profile updated.

So In my opinion IRCC officials are working.
is your wife the Principal Applicant or you are? My medical will be expiring next month so probably there's a chance that my current medical showing "passed" will be revert back to "you do not need medical...." ?

Hahahaha...:D:D:D I already rest my case on this "waiting game" issue. It's Up to them. Let them do their thing. If they want to complaint and say terrible things to CIC, let them be ,That's their application, if they want to file a complain just because they are tired of waiting, let them be. Just make sure that they will show their names, uci, file number , not an "anonymous" type of complain or hiding in any names whatsoever. Probably some of these people are just spending their time to just check status, from time to time, and don't have other things to do.

I will understand maybe the inland guys, because i used to stay there in Canada, it's so hard to think when you are staying in a certain place for a limited period of time. That is why we are opting to apply for a Permanent Status.
I will MAYBE understand those guys who had already reached on the end (100%) of their timeline bar, but again CIC already have a heads-up that at this point of time those timeline bars are not accurate anymore and expect further delays.

As what I always said in my signature. Patience is not just about waiting....

Are you Inland or Outland?
Which program?

I don’t know if maybe they’ve sent MR to me because all clinics and doctors’ offices here in Manitoba resumed operations. They’re all open. In some cities/provinces/contries clinics and doctors’ offices are still closed or with restricted operations, so it doesn’t make sense to send out MR if the applicant might be unable to complete them. That’s a possibility.

I called IRCC in the morning (the wait is relatively shorter...) and basically the officer just told me that my case in on background check. Other than that, he could not really tell me anything in details. The only thing he highlighted is that the estimated complete date on the website, is the "minimum" duration that applicants should expect - if not longer.

And I was actually confused by his answer as he mentioned that I should go for medical if I receive a medical check request, but current no biometric is required "however we might require it if things going back to normal". I am not sure whether I need biometric or not at all. I am applying thru OINP international student stream.

AOR is August 2019
PAL Feb 2020
No MR yet
No news from IRCC after Feb 2020.

To be frank, I am feeling really bad.
You mean officer said you that to do upfront medical ?

If he said i think you should follow, there may be good new were ready to pop up at your door.

I am not talking about you buddy. Some people here are saying that "IRCC is not working on paper based applications, they don't care..blah blah blah." Some people are even sharing that they have some updates on their applications, but still, some people are still saying IRCC is not working.
