Hi,

I got mine (AOR) after 2 months since they received my application. Yours was just barely a month old, so it is still premature to panic or contact them. Aor is between 2 - 4 months after they received your application. I do understand the feeling.

Shop around on this forum to gain better insights. I would suggest to add more patience. The program itself is unpredictable, i am paranoid at times.

So, good luck! Lets keep in touch!

Cheers!
Thank you very much @azuredragon , your reply really helps.

I have been going through this forum and understanding the timelines. I have just one question on what does AR means in the timelines. I understand AOR means Acknowledgment Of Receipt and it might take 2-4 months but what is AR and how do we receive it

Thank you in advance and good luck everyone

Hi everyone,

INLAND applicant here! PAPER-BASED APPLICATION.

I just received my pre arrival letter today.

I am a ontario provincial nominee- under job offer foreign stream.

AR - Feb 04, 2019
AOR - April 11, 2019
Pre-arrival letter - October 5, 2019
Whats next? PPR?

Note: I currently have a closed work permit which I only got last january 2019. By the time that I'm applying for closed work permit, some of the requirements I had to submit are medical and PCC, on which that might be the reason why I didn't received any medical request and PCC prior to this pre-arrival email I received This morning. (I just assume what I've said, that's the only conclusion I came out after thinking about it, I'm no expert just want to share my experience)

Currently, On my cic account it still shows 10 months remaining based on the estimated pr application timeline.
Are there cases people who applied under papaer bases received their PR faster than the assumed timeline?

Question is, should I be happy now because the next update will be PPR? If anyone happen to be the in the same situation, please share your timeline... how long did it take to receive PPR?

Thank you for those who will share their experience...

Below is the detail of my online account. I would appreciate it a lot if any expert/experienced applicant here can advise me how long I would probably receive PPR? My work permit is gonna expire on December 31. Do I need to apply to extend it? Is there a possibility that I would receive PPR before end of the year?

  • We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
  • October 1, 2019 You passed the medical exam.
  • We are reviewing the additional documents you provided.
  • You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
  • We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
  • We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
  • Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Thanks a ton.

As usual, After CIC finishes your eligible check, you will receive your PAL. I do not know why CIC is still reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. Maybe you will receive your PPR soon. It is advisable to extend your work permit.

It’s possible as a lot are getting ppr within 10months. But also at worst case if its after dec atleast you should have an extension. It explicitly says that its our responsibility to keep workpermit valid. So better do it. Its just 200 dollars :)
