My lawyer said that we should consider 20 months as the likely timeline instead of 18 months.
Ok then inform them after 20 months if processing not completed

However, if you always check this forum you will see that most inland pnp applicants usually get their PPR within 14 months.

If you are an outland applicant then your local visa office is handling your file not CIC so need to know whether your local visa office is working or temporarily stopped due to covid. By the way, do you know which is your visa office?
Bro how come you know that local visa is handling it. Do you have anyclue that can help me.they r partly working. Obviously i know my visa office.

Yes Average time for Inland is 13-14 months .
Feb 2019-getting in March 2020.
But keeping this current situation in mind , may extend 14-16 months.
Fingers crossed , hope someone finds the solution for COVID-19 .

I don't think you clearly understand the situation in Canada right now because you must be an outland applicant. Most of inland employees who are in process of PR are getting lay offs due to COVID-19 and they are worried about their jobs as well as on-going PR applications. If there are any complications on your on going job, it will affect your PR application. it's all related to one another so why don't you just stop messing around and agree on this page.
We are all worrying about losing our jobs. This couldn't come at a worse time, when all non-essential businesses are closed. I hope they don't withdraw nominations from people that get fired because of Covid.

Most of the outland applications will be transferred to corresponding local office for further processing like background, medical, security.. Etc. If you know your visa office then check with them through webform. Now a days they will give only generic reply, just try.

Yes, I agree. Some pr application is linked to our current employer. If we lost our employer/job, that will definitely jeopardize our pr application. I hope IRCC will consider these scenarios with the current pandemic situation.

Hi guys
My online tool status changed to DM on 20th March 2020, and the timeline is
  1. We received your application for permanent residence on March 6, 2019.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on May 1, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on May 1, 2019.
  4. We sent you medical instructions on September 9, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  5. Medical results have been received.
I am PNP inland and I didn't link to gic tools btw. However, when I send the email to cic to confirm my DM status, they were saying my application is still 'in progress'. I am confused. Anyone can help?
