I'm in a similar boat but haven't reached DM yet. My understanding is that if IRCC's officer "substitutes" / doubts the Province' decision-making in your ability to economic establish, they will give you an opportunity to respond to their doubts. It sounds like you haven't heard anything yet, so hopefully that means the DM is positive. I haven't heard anything from IRCC for my application yet so right now I'm still job searching and hoping for the best!! The other piece to consider is the Province and whether or not they will continue to support your nomination even after your layoff - but if you've notified them and they haven't said they will withdraw your nomination, it seems like it means they will continue to support it - at least that's my sense from my application...Thank you i just saw the point 2 and got scared...

Refusing the application
A provincial nominee who meets all statutory admissibility requirements can be refused a visa when the officer has reason to believe that one or more of the following applies
1.the applicant does not intend to live in the province that has nominated them
2.the applicant is unlikely to be able to successfully establish economically in Canada
3.the applicant is participating in, or intends to participate in, a passive investment or an immigration-linked investment scheme as defined in
