Hey guys!

Sorry for posting this a bit late.

Got my 'Ready for Visa' mail on 24th October 2019. Below are my timelines:

AoR - 03rd January 2019
Medicals Passed - 13th Feb 2019
Biometrics updated - 25th Feb 2019

Super long silence - Called and mailed a couple of times. Ordered GCMS notes in July, received on 21st August 2019 wherein on Criminality was passed.

10th October 2019 I received a re-medical request and Form 5669 request. I submitted my medicals on 11th October and additional document on 15th October. My medicals were passed on 21st October 2019 and I received my PPR mail on 24th October 2019.

The wait is over. I have submitted my passport for stamping on 30th October 2019 (VFS, New Delhi) and will update on when I get them back!!

Thanks for the amazing informative community here, and I wish all the waiting applicants a speedy PPR.

:)

Oh wow! thanks for pointing out. Just corrected it :)

My initial medicals were bound to expire in Jan 2020 but I received the re-medical request on 10th October 2019. Maybe because of the additional documentation they required, not sure though.

Then you need to cut off your friends and block their phone numbers beacuse they are talking trash. PR cards is a form of identiy but it's not the only one you can use to board any flight within Canada.

You can use your Passport (Canadian or not), PR card , Driver license. All of which bear your name , picture and DOB which are all required information to process you by the airline. No one can question your status except CBSA which do not exist for flights within Canada.

However if you want to feel 100% safe around your flight, you can carry your COPR with you along side your Indian Passport If (a BIG IF) someone had to be smart on you and questioned your status.

Regards
thanks a lot dear... your detailed reply is much appreciated. Going to book my tickets today ... with confidence.

Guys, it's been two weeks since everything passed on my application.. no PPR yet and no remed request either. Should I be worried? Should I maybe contact IRCC preemptively asking for remed or medical extension? Or maybe just sit tight and wait as usual?

May be call them to know if it is waiting for that final clearance from another officer. If that is the case, they will say you to wait. On call they will not help much to do something for medicals.
For medical, I suggest you raise webform indicating that your medicals are going to expire on XYZ date and ask are they going to extend it?

Thanks! Yeah I just did both.. raised a webform to inquire about my medical status and potential for extension. Called them and heard again that everything's passed and I should expect PPR in 'the coming weeks' .. no idea why it should be that long anyway!
