My understanding is that the standard "queue" only applies to fresh applications that they're considering, which don't have any outstanding issues (that cause RR). I'm sure those may be processed in the order they are received. Once you are in the RR pool (as opposed to queue) then basically anything goes..
I don't have RR. My eligibility is Recommended Pass

I believe there are two things here at play.

1. Visa Office
2. Visa Officer

the processing queue must differ at different Visa offices. They may not be following the same rule at all the offices. And once the application in queue, it may depend on the visa officer's availability, workload and willingness to complete the case within the 6 months SLA

All responses "Your application is currently in queue for review by an officer"

Next remainder can only be sent on August 29 :)

Which is the more dreadful out of the two webform responses:
1. "Your application is currently in queue for review by an officer"
OR
2. "Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications"
Are they both just random responses or do they have different meanings? People with both responses seem to be waiting really long.

recommended pass is nothing - the case analyst/officers will review intensely after that....it is from r10 completeness check (if I understand correctly). Review Required is more advanced stage than 'rec pass'.

It is possible that rec pass & RR both from r10 check....

Point of correction, Recommemded pass is not nothing. A detailed check is done by case analyst at this level. Based on his/her notes, the case officer reviews eligibility and then marks as passed. Recommended pass is a very positive sign.

Yes, positive sign but it will be reviewed in detail by the case officer (agent told me over the phone). It is good start but cannot take as pass.

Hi all, I am trying to stay away from this whole PPR mania and focus on my current life .. helps a lot as I don’t end up overthinking or worrying too much

I have always said, keep busy and stay positive .. this is not fair but it will end soo. :)

I will be cutting my time short on this forum in terms of checking the posts.. there are so many wonderful people here better then me to help so that’s always reassuring..

If anyone still would like me to answer or help with a query, pls tag me so I can follow up. I’ll check same time everyday in the night .. cheers and good luck to all
Good decision. this is to be considered as a long term investment. do it and forget it! If you keep focussing around it it just messes your mind. I gave up a long time back. When there is an update they will email you.

@SithLord Based on reading GCMS notes regarding the case following is my assumption of the process. It might be entirely wrong. First an analyst picks the application. does first initial review if all the documents are provided. The analyst will provide his/her thoughts on completion of documentation and if it matches what points have been claimed. Recommended Pass= Analyst thinks everything is in order. RR=He thinks that documents are there but requesting officer to review the document and make a final decision. This might mean that they need to verify the document. This is basically triaging the application for completeness. Normally if the application fails at this stage, the IRCC returns the entire fees for the PR application. If it goes beyond this point and a decision is not made if favor, they return only "PR Card Fees" (if already paid).

After this, the case is dumped back into system and system assigns it to a Case Centre/Pool. Now here I think where things get messed up. There seems to be no order or sequence of processing in which cases will be picked up and by which officer. It is just assigned to a Pool. Or if there is a sequence it is clearly not visible. There can be a possibility that GCMS system assigns weights/priority to the application based on the application type and NOC code and officers are required to clear higher priority first.

Wishing everyone all the best and hope the cases progress soon.

As per last GCMS which I ordered in July, the case analyst had updated it to RR in march and there had been no other updates since then.
I agree with your assessment. This is my impression too @PrasadK

Recommend Pass = Pass = Met. It's just different phrasing of the same conclusion. Dissecting it won't do anything.

That's how it ends up working out and that's obviously fine! But there are phases to this process, so people tend to speculate the inner workings of it..

It might be just a hunch, I believe everyone is being positive given the lack of recent activity. Also CPC Ottawa does do a lot of its work in batches from historic data so I hope this is the case going forward too. Another reason to be optimistic is that the holiday period will end in September when schools and colleges reopen. So hopefully a fully staffed CPC will do a faster job. Anyways let’s hope for the best :)
Well, as you said so... fingers crossed!
