Hello @cansha @legalfalcon @rushi.gada @vinayk....

Hope you guys are doing ok.

Need your help on the below concern.

Apparently with the news that we wont be able to call the call center agents from next week I called CIC today and unfortunately this was the first time ever in these 7 months I cam across a very weird agent named SWALLIONE or something I am sure I have misspelled that.

He started threatening me saying I have called so many times till date plus have involved local MP, there seems to be a problem with my file and started scaring me saying should I report this?

To which I replied no its ok please dont. I called as have passed 7 months. Then after scaring me to extreme he told me the status saying Eligibility is under review which was surprisinng as when I called last Friday it was in que for review by an officer.

Also started asking am I sure I was eligible for express entry coz it doesn’t seem so. Also said there is some problem with my file do you want me to report or to get the answer hire a immigration lawyer.

Then I realised that he is just scaring me and nothing else as he seemed frustrated with me calling in and asking the status.

The concern is can he do anything wrong to my file as previous agent I spoke they told me I can call anytime and check the status.

This guy said now to call directly in Feb 2020.

Have any of you come across such weird agent!

I would appreciate your reply on this.

Thanks!
This is crazy & scary:(

I am calling every Friday since last 3 weeks. But I believe, just ignore it for some time and after 2 weeks, raise webform. I am sure they would not give such nasty response in writing. Did you apply for GCMS notes? if not please do so. If you have GCMS note already, study that carefully, you will get certain clues, wish you all the best.

Sure.

Yes I have applied for GCMS notes on 4th July, 2019 but yet to receive that.

I was already anxious, nervous and what not now after the conversation with that weirdo I am shit scared.

Hope that he was just taking his frustration out and not serious about my file.

Thanks for the concern though!

Congrats!!! I believe you paid your RPRF recently. I'm on the same boat too. Could you shed some light on the status updates you had on your MyCic account? Also, What's your VO?

That’s very weird bro but as always, a small time agent can’t define your application so don’t worry.

I was told by one agent that my application should finish by the end of the year and boom, PPR came a week after..

Ignore the negativity and focus on the positives. Call again and see if you get the same response. I really think your PPR should be coming this month. The avg has moved to 8months anyway.

Chill and relax :)

Congratulations to all who received their PPR email and wish best of luck to all who are waiting for the golden email.
I need one help, I saw few friends mentioned about POF as fixed deposit and later submitted LOE or affidavit or letter from the bank, can anyone please share a format. I have shared all POF in form of FD and not one by few number of FDs and many got matured in last 6 months, but the moment my FD got matured I made new FD with the same amount or higher and always send out a webform along with FD attachment so that I always maintain my POF.
Should I proactively take any action here. my AOR is 6th Jan.

Contacted IRCC over the phone about 4 times, raised about a couple of web forms. Most of the replies were generic. Contacted Mr. Goodale's office too.
Since the cut off of 6 months have been passed, it's just a matter of someone picking up your file. I think my file was picked up due to a Web form I raised on 01.08.2019 or as I submitted an affidavit for POF (Without a request) on 28.08.2019.

Before getting the ppr, I had two ghost updates. With the final one on 06.09.2019, review of additional documents changed to not applicable and status of biometrics changed to completed. Even though I have submitted biometrics in March 2019, the stays was "We have not received your fingerprints "
I wish you all a very speedy PPR. Thank you for creating such wonderful platform.
Hey congratulations
What is the reason for submission of pof affidavit?
Was it requested by ircc?

Swept away at last. We submitted what we thought were perfectly prepared applications of January 17, 2019. We had hired a consultancy to review our documents and represent us. Resigned from my then job and took up a new job in a new country after this. I was hoping to resign while in probation and move to Canada for good in a few months. But destiny had different plans. :)
We never called IRCC. Raised a CSE after the much hyped “6 months” were over and were told that additional verifications are under way. Also, had mailed Ralph around the same time and was told that Criminality is cleared, rest nothing had started. All this made us anxious and we ordered GCMS. Few weeks later, PPR email beat the GCMS notes.
We were sort of kicked out of the United States in July 2017 for no real reason (well my H1 amendment was randomly denied after a buffoon took charge in the Oval Office) after ~5 years of glory. We had invested our everything in building a future in the USofA. At 4 am on July 14, 2017, me and my wife along with our 3 year old daughter were going hotel to hotel in Mumbai’s Andheri looking for a shelter in the rainy season and to rest after 24 hours of airplane on us. I had 9 large suitcases and cabin bags. Another 10 boxes were on a ship only to arrive largely damaged a month later. We braved it, moved into a hotel, then to a distant acquaintance’s apartment, then to a night in the train, then to a fungus infected guest house over the next one month to finally find solace in Bangalore, India in an apartment owned by an ISRO director. He told us that god will shower his love on us in his apartment. :)
6 months later, I had a long term Swedish work permit from my employer for my then current project, an offer to return to the US to lead a major account, an offer from a top bank in the UAE and an ITA for applying for Canadian Permanent Residency. We had made our choice. We were going to contribute to the society that is welcoming us with open arms.
The long wait after the AoR did play on our nerves a bit but one thing was always clear to us that it’s going to be Canada. The forums and WhatsApp groups gave equal amount of anxiety and comfort. But I reckon that they can be helpful for applicants preparing documentation on their own.

Many thanks to everyone for sticking around and supporting. Special mentions to @PrasadK @rushi.gada.
I pray and I am super confident that all of you will be swept away soon.
All the very best friends!

Will get started with the planning now. Time to go and live the next chapter of our lives to the fullest

Signing off for now

I observed from various posts in this forum that FD as POF has gone to "Review Required" because officer thinks that FD is locked money in the bank and you may not withdraw it while immigrating to Canada, therefore I would advice you to make all the efforts to let IRCC know that it is your money without any liability and you can withdraw it whenever you want.

I would suggest to write a "letter of explanation" which has details of all the FD accounts along with respective amount and send it to IRCC explaining that this can be withdrawn from bank without any issue whenever you want. If you could get this on bank letter head that would be best.

Your case give me a hope...

My affidavit for POF is "review required" since 5th April at CIO Sydney (CB01126). I submitted the affidavit because I have shown the fund from the US bank as I was working in the USA but later moved to India due to internal rotation in the company. My US bank denied to provide letter for POF citing security issue as I am outside the US. So to support my claim for fund, I produced affidavit and attached notarized copies of e-statements. Everything is accepted as per GCMS notes on 9th July but affidavit was referred to senior officer for review who has not gotten chance to have a look at it. I have sent another letter of explanation on 5th August which has been added to my file but still be reviewed. Thinking about progress of Jan candidates, I am hopeful to get my PPR mail soon:) (AOR 29th Jan)

I've received my PPR e-mail at 10:30 PM (eastern daylight time), which came as a huge surprise since it's so late. It's been a long, torturous wait but it's finally over for us!

wow CB01126 is alive! I too have a review required on my POF and I submitted something without them asking in July, but seems no one cares or ever looked into it. :(
