Yeah, so doesn't apply to me. I'm a Canadian citizen, but I don't live in Canada. So I can't order them unfortunately.

Yes, you can.

I've personally seen many Canadians abroad order their GCMS notes.

You only need to be in Canada if you're not a citizen or PR.

It's very poorly worded, I know.

"Send a request to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) under the Access to Information Act (ATI) to:

Get information about CIC
Get information that would have been created by CIC
Get personal information submitted by a representative, where the client (with their consent) is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or here in Canada."

January applicants here.

Ok, didn't know; thanks for that.

Do you understand the new consent form? Is it sponsor or PA in section A? And how about that representative signature in section 4?

PA section A
Sponsor section C
B&D blank

Not sure about the signature in section C, it's new.

Thanks. Is it a safe assumption that if someone's eligibility who applied after us has been checked, then ours would be too? Not sure if it's checked in order of being received.

I would think so.

There should be some notes about your relationship by now if not a recommend pass.

Short of ordering notes, which would take 30 days from today (max) to be sent back, we haven't been asked for further proof etc. so I'm hoping that phase has passed.

I applied in February and my last notes said not started.

Sucks because today is 30 days waiting for my new ones but due date becomes next business day so I won't see them until Tuesday because of the holiday.

I'm going by the assumption that since someone who applied after me at MVO already had their eligibility checked, maybe ours was too?

Lol you already asked me that.

hi friends

Need help.

I am a new immigrant landed on 1st may 2016, and want to apply for my wife, i'll get married by September this year for which i'll go back to Pakistan.

New immigrants can apply for their spouse only from within Canada.

1. is this practical if i can send my documents for my wife's immigration from my native country to Canada, and my brother who lives in Canada send the envelope to cic to start the process?

2. The process time showing 2 years time to process spouse application from my Country. Are these time lines are followed strictly or process can be completed earlier?

3. Is there any way to bring my wife to Canada earlier?

Regards

You can still order your notes as long as you are going to use your address there
