I have followed your postings and I know this process took longer for you than most. Congratulations. Time to start shopping for winter clothes for them.Gumper said:Posted it on the Manila English page as well, but to let my fellow JAN applicants know: visas arrived yesterday! Actually we were about 10 months total, so not too bad. But thanks!O_guy said:I have followed your postings and I know this process took longer for you than most. Congratulations. Time to start shopping for winter clothes for them.
Well I'm quite on the same boat with you, though I'm processing through London. I should have a straightforward case with 6 years of marriage (tomorrow is our anniversary) and I haven't had any requests whatsoever from the VO and I'm still just Application Received while almost everyone else from January are processed and done. It can depend on a lot of matters, some people have very long background checks (if there's some big criminal with a similar name or DOB) and some of us are just very unlucky. My application was just gathering dust until end of August, after which they only started with their checks.Cee_Cee said:Hi All,
Our application for sponsorship was received January 9, 2014, and I was approved as a sponsor on February 13, 2014. The file was then transferred to CPP-Ottawa for processing. My husband is an American citizen.
When we submitted the application we included the medical and police check. I keep logging in to look at the status but the only thing I see is "Application Received" for permanent residence. Not sure if it should be taking this long. Seems like such a straightforward process, not sure why it is taking to long.
He has been in Canada visiting me now since October 9. Hoping the paper work processes soon so that he can just stay and start working.
Anybody have any feedback on timelines?
Thanks!
You can find the timelines for the Ottawa VO by opening various forums such as the January Outland forum, February Outland forum, March outland forum, etc. All of those forums have timeline spreadsheets, just focus on the Ottawa VO timeline. From what I have observed in these forums, the Ottawa VO is not slow, so as a January applicant, you should have heard from them by now. As someone suggested, order the GCMS notes by going to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdfCee_Cee said:Hi All,

Congrats they made it on time! At least this is done eventhough it sucks we have to pay additionnal just because we land in Québec.blueangel371115 said:Got my CSQ today!!! They have at least notified Ottawa that I have received it, however I still have to send a hard copy. Phew. Glad that's over. Sending it overnight tomorrow.
Thanks, I'm psyched. ;D Yeah, tell me about it. Extra fees, extra paperwork, extra time spent (both waiting for the application to be processed and for it to be sent where it needs to go) and french classes. If that's not proof I love and am committed to my family, what is?Edgehead78 said:Congrats they made it on time! I updated the spreadsheet with your new information.blueangel371115 said:Edgehead and others, for the spread sheet
CSQ application
received 10/13/2014
I'll double check the charged date but I believe it was 10/26/2014
CSQ received 10/28/2014
Didn't show the med received date but it may be due to the reason below but they have noted that they received it and that was updated around the time I received SA.
Hopefully soon it'll be done. So far all my eCAS shows is DM on Sponsorship and meds received but the only way I can find me is to enter my hubby's UCI through the sponsorship application part. Do they update mine there ? Or somewhere else? I'd really like to know if it's progressed passed that however, not too worried as they never update much it seems but I never get anything when checking through the permanent resident outland route.
Congrats! Must be such a relief! Updated you on the spreadsheetMinicooper said:Hello!
My new police check was mailed out last Monday and on Thursday they emailed me that my application had been accepted!! Ecas wasn't updated until today and now it says decision made as well! It didn't take nearly as long as the processing times listed (17 months for Vienna), so this was a pleasant surprise! Good luck to everyone still waiting!!
Cool, so far when it asks you what type or application you are doing, I say sponsorship then spouse outside Canada, the only UCI it recognizes is my husband's and our receipt number and all it says is application received on March 11 ( when I resent signatures) and medicals received and that's it. I know that they don't update often but I just want to make sure I can see the updated status if and when they do as it's reassuring.Edgehead78 said:I updated the spreadsheet with your new information.
Concerning ecas, I'm not sure I understand you question but I will try to explain how mine works. If I use my UCI (sponsor), I get the sponsorship status and permanent residence status. If I use my wife's UCI (applicant), I get the permanent residence status only. Note that whatever way you choose, the information is the same.
There was some bugs lately with ecas login using UCIs but looks like its solved now as I was able to login just now.
The sponsor's UCI should show both sponsorship application and PR and principal applicant should be able to see only the PR. So you have tried your UCI as well? Surely sounds strange if at this point your UCI doesn't work. My application status also shows the same things - application received on January 23 and Medicals Received. Next stage usually is In Process and Decision Made. Ecas doesn't show much more than that and if you want more information, then it's better to order GCMS notes.blueangel371115 said:Cool, so far when it asks you what type or application you are doing, I say sponsorship then spouse outside Canada, the only UCI it recognizes is my husband's and our receipt number and all it says is application received on March 11 ( when I resent signatures) and medicals received and that's it.
