We will be living in Mississauga after my husband takes the NY Bar in July of this year

Hmmmm, I've noticed that there's quite a few Filipino applicants/sponsors here!

I've been looking for these two books that are from the Philippines....I'm so desperate to get them.....! I'm still in Indonesia but going back to Canada in less than a month from now...realllly hoping to get them before I depart...

I've been searching for them at Amazon and many other sites online, to no avail...Google doesn't seem to help...! If there are any avid Filipino book readers here who might be able to help me find a seller (online bookstore or whatever) in the Philippines, I'd be so grateful....send me a PM please... ;D

Amikety, finally our package arrived at CPC-M...! Yeah...!!! Now you can update my column E: 30 January 2013 ;D

Can't seem to figure out how to PM you, possibly because I am new!
Would you please add me to the spreadsheet.

Sent the spouse outland application to Mississauga on Jan 23. UPS delivered it on the 24th.
Medicals were January 17th.
London, England is our local office.

Thank you!

FINALLY! We sent in the application yesterday and I received a UPS tracking notification that it arrived in Mississauga this morning - that was fast!! My Canadian husband is sponsoring me, and I am applying via out land and plan to live in Vancouver.

My medicals were done in Vancouver on January 8th.

Now...the waiting game...

PS - I had no issues crossing the border back into Canada as a souse a week ago - I explained I was visiting my husband, and the officer asked if I was applying for PR. I said yes, we were gathering the paperwork together, and he said "great!" I think its always the US border officials that give us the most trouble :P

once you reach 10 posts you'll be able to send PM and add info on your profile.
Good luck on stage 1 and 2 ( if you want to have a look at London spreadsheet, the link is in my signature).

You are added! Once you hit 10 posts, you'll be able to send PMs and do neat stuff like add an avatar.

Together 8 years and married 2.5? You'll be done in like a month, making the rest of us cry! :D

I'm guessing you're American and applying to Ottawa?

If so, the Ottawa spreadsheet is also in my signature, but you have to talk to someone else to be included. If you can't PM yet, but you post in the USA outland thread. They usually check it.

I love when Americans call the Call Centre for advice about crossing the border. The CC gives them the whole run down about ties and proof of return. Freaks the American spouse out.... yet crossing goes easily the vast majority of the time! Especially with the Canadian spouse! :D

I'd hate to make the others upset, but you have got my attention. Do long relationships process faster? We sent photos from every year, it's a great journey of baldness! We also submitted copies of car insurance and whatnot dating from 2005 until present so it shows we we lived together for years before we were married etc...

Oh, it's just a little jealousy! Nah, we'll be happy for you.

Longer relationships tend to go faster as there's less of a question to whether it's a genuine relationship or not. A scammer usually pushes for quick marriage and sponsorship. Most scammers won't wait 8 years ;)

It sounds like you submitted an awesome application!

You'll probably get processed fast, as you're going through London ( as I did). They have a high approval rate (95%), and a good record. The only thing is - the most of the time don't answer to enquiries, or update ecas in the process. So - given the fact that you seem to have a pretty straightforward case, most likely, you'll be approved for sponsor, then file sent to London. The day they open it - it's pretty obvious you are in a committed relationship with a simple case - approved! PR issued, end of the story! London is 9 months for completion of 80% of the cases, but quite a few get done much faster, and it's likely that you'll be one of them!
Good luck,

Thanks, these are comforting words. We couldn't have done it without the guidance and support on this great forum. I'm hoping we didn't muck anything up.
I checked and double checked everything, but some of those forms sure were very tricky.
I didn't have the option C so included a UK tax return, a letter explaining and some other stuff.
I'm self-employed and that doesn't make anything easier (in life)!
Here's to a speedy application!
