Anyone know how long it is between submitting the application and receiving confirmation of receipt?
Also do your language test results have to be valid for the full processing time?

not sure of the first question (i guess instantly) ,
but language test results should be valid until you receive an ITA , after that it doesn't matter .

Eep I just read on CIC that they need to be valid at the time you apply. My husbands IELTS expires on Feb 11th so we may have to wait until we retake them and hope we don't mess it up haha! Doubt we'll get a medical appointment in time to have the application in before Feb 11th!

When I applied in EE, I added my wife in it as well.
Both of us are on Open work permit in Canada
When I receive ITA, does she need to get her medicals and PCC done as well? Or only the primary applicant?

We already booked them thinking we wouldn't get an ITA so soon, can't get a refund if we cancel now! Haha! I think they also have to be valid when we actually submit the application so that gives us exactly a month to get all our stuff together which might be possible but not likely.

We live in the uk. We previously lived in Alberta for 4 years.

Yes she does. My husband is the principal but I also need medicals and PCC.

Yes, unfortunately I entered the country after the olice check was emited, Im afraid I need a new one

Ok.. So, to be honest, I think, that might not be needed. It's too much to ask for PCC even for a visit. If you look at CIC instruction, they have mentioned "lived" and not "visited". Rest, you can drop a query to them and get it clarified. good luck
