Hi Rorita and Boujasim,

Any good news on your case or still waiting.
Nothing from my side except on the e-CAS for permanent residence they had a small update :we started processing John Doe application's on April 29, 2009. Medical results have been received.
The end :0(.
God forbidden if my husband go through the process of an interview I hope it won't be scheduled before the month of September so i can be with him to support him through this long process.

Hey Marlena,
Well concerning my news, today Damascus is supposed to receive all the documents they have asked for.
I am trying to be optimistic as much as I can, but I guess, to be logic, I won't hear from them until the next month, hopefully they will say: come on dear, send us your passport..:)))…we are waiting for you..:)))
From other post, I read that most of the time, they take about a month in order to reply after submitting the additional document...so waiting.
the good news that I forget to mention on the forum is that we have received the CAIPS, and they say that the marriage is genuine and the interview is waived...what made me more optimistic is in the CAIPS note, the date where they say interview is waived after asking for the new document, so I guess, not sure, that they continue working on the file with whatever they have until they receive the additional document.
I have noticed in the post over this forum concerning the proof submitted, that in our case we didn’t send much proof, not because we don’t have, we were able to fill a truck..:) but we were ignorant back them, acting typically Lebanese, we didn’t make any research or anything, we counted on our lawyer, but in our proof, there were key proof, witch means, there were picture in our wedding with the 5 priest who held the wedding, picture with both family. And in our email, we never mention anything concerning Canada, even the word Canada doesn’t exist in our email. Because in one of the post here, don’t recall witch one, some said that the officer check in the email if the 2 people are talking about their own life and future, or just talking how they will bring the foreign wife to Canada…I guess that make sense.
Did you hear anything about Boujasim, he is away from long time…hope he had an interview date.

Hi Rorita,

No I didn't heard about boujasim, I'm so happy for you , I'm sure everything will be fine. it takes time and that's understandable. I didn't ask for any CAIPS notes because It still too early for us. Perhaps I should wait another month or so since they just received my application on April 29 but at least I can see some changes in my PR status. I don't know why they mentioned medical received since it was done at the same time when the application was sent.
As a proof. I sent pictures of my wedding but not all my family was there since my uncle passed away and you know the Lebanese tradition when it someone die in the family. I sent lots of emails but didn't bother to translate them since cic told me if they requested an interview it will be done at that stage. None of my emails contained anything about Canada. Mostly about family and to get to know each other. BTW I sent them an email yesterday asking if I can provide more documents such as life insurance, original marriage certificate, adding him on my work health plan and others. If they don't reply the next two weeks I'll send them to my husband and if he requested for an interview, he will provide them at the same time. Give me your thoughts!!!!
When did you start the process of ordering your CAIPS notes?? Did you have to pay for them or did your husband order them through access to information and privacy. Actually thank to Rasha she explained in one of her threads on how to order them so I had filled out the form but didn't send it yet.
I asked my husband if he had received any AOL in Lebanon but I don't think the visa office in Damascus will send him any. I feel the time is going by so slow these days by the time for me to go to Lebanon I don't in what state of mind I'll be.
Rorita you are in my prayer. I know it was a long waiting for you but wishing you all the best.

Hey Marlena, nice to hear from you.
As you said it is too early for you to order the CAIPS, witch you order usually after 5 or 6 month of the AOR, while you didn't hear anything from the office or you have been asked for an interview.
My lawyer was the one who ordered my CAIPS, since he is my representive, it usually take about 6 week to come, in my case it took about 9 week, because after 6 week the lawyer called them to ask about the CAIPS, they said the CAIPS notes concerning my husband part (the sponsor) is done, but they need an authorization from me to the lawyer in order to send him the CAIPS note about my part, witch he received after 9 weeks...:)) everything has to take double time with me , I don't know why..:(
From what I know , when the local office is ready to see the medical, he ask for it from the place where they check the test and X-ray, so when they do, they say medical received.
What you mean about you didn't translate your email, are they in Arabic?
From post here and there, and from my own experience, they don't usually reply on your inquiry unless they have exceed the normal processing time, or in case THEY want something from you, so I guess it is a good idea to send the new proof to your husband.
Concerning the AOR letter, I hope it will reach your husband...after all this the Lebanese mail system...:))
thank you for your prayer, I am keeping everyone as well in my prayer, hopefully soon we will all be done, and instead of spending time on this forum, we will be spending time with our spouse and starting new life and new family.
I hope Boujasim is fine, maybe he was called for an interview and he is preparing

Well you are right I guess it's way too early for CAIPS notes.
As for my emails. They are written in Lebanese but of course few words here and there in English. I went back and read them all and I was laughing so much.... some of them there hilarious so hopefully they won't pay attention to those one :0). It's written in Lebanese but of course the letters typed in English. My first language is French so I'm trying to practice my Lebanese language since it's so hard to remember every word if you know what I mean.
I was hoping to work on my garden today but the weather here is unpredictable. We are not having too much of a nice weather or sun :(.
I hope everything is ok with Boujasim. I'm sure it's very stressful time when it comes to an interview.... I wish we could avoid this process and not go through it but we have to be strong and positive...
Have a nice weekend. BTW how's the weather in Beirut...

I see, arabic word written in english letter, I used to hate when my friend send me email like this, they used to seem for me in the begining like chinese, but now I got use to it.
concerning the weather, well it is lovely, extremly sunny and warm, typicaly lebanese spring...:) I will miss this weather later in canada.
By the way, if you still planing to make a wedding in septmeber, make sure you make all the reservation in advance, this month or so, cause I don't know why, but everyone is saying that this summer will be THE wedding summer in lebanon, can you believe that I knew 11 couple that will get marry in July..:).
Lebanon is the most alive country ever, it is like no problem what so ever in this coutry..amazing.
have a nice weekend..:)

It's funny we were about the wedding last night. Someone told him the same in Lebanon but the other ceremony will take place only in October so hopefully everyone will be married by then. He spoke already to the priest and want only a confirmation with the date with subject to my approval. I wanted to ask you if I can rent the wedding dress instead of buying since I don't want to bring it back with me. Any idea of store names..... I don't have a lot of time to plan when I'm there since I want to see my husband more than anything else. Flower shop as well and church decoration. I have no clue the tradition in Lebanon but I want it very small and simple.... Nothing out of the ordinary like the one that I see and hear about. Since you went through it not long time ago any ideas will be highly appreciated and probably you will one of my invited guest on my list :0)

Hey there,
I have a new question, we sent all the wanted document to Damascus, witch they have received May-10-09, our lawyer sent them an email inquiry to tell them that we have sent all the document they wanted, and we are ready to provide any new if required and in the same time we are looking forward their next reply witch must be the passport request, because we have fulfill all the needed document and requirement,
We got a reply on the lawyer email after 12 hour (witch is waouuuuuuuuu...:)) saying:

Please be informed that the application is under review. When a decisions made or if we require any additional information or documents, you will be contacted.

My question: is there any difference between the these two terms: "under review" and " under finale review" , because I saw in different posts people getting the 2 different sentence.
I tried to figure out the difference, but not sure about:
Finale review: is when there no new document required, so they do finale review.
Under review: is when they needed new document, and that they need time to study them.
Waiting your answers...

Hi Rorita,

I think the decision is not final yet because if you continue reading the sentence. (When a decision is made) if they already took a decison they wouldn't wrote that sentence.
They also wrote the application under review. In another word they still working on the file and therefore the decision is still pending....

Did you check your e-cas to see PR decision is finalized???

Hope I'm wrong but that's how I understand it.

BTW it's not fair for you to wait that long. Why on the hell is taking them so long to take a final decision. It's becoming insane for you to wait that long????
When exactly they transfered and received your file in Damascus?????
They should wake up and smell the coffee a bit. I can't believe they are in such a slow motion and they don't give a dam about how hard on all of us to wait and wait....They should be in our situation and see how it feels. I mean the fact you lived with your husband for almost a year they should take this into consideration. The more I think about it the more I get pissed off. No wonder why I'm having nightmares all the time and can't see to concentrate on anything other than be with my husband....

Thank you Marlena for your reply,
I guess we both agree on, if they say under review, that mean they still working on it, after all they have got the document they have required May-10-09, and today is May 14, so it is steel early for a decision, but what I wanted to know is their a difference between the 2 terms: "under review" and "Final review"?
About my file, from what we have understood in the CAIPs, witch were 84 double side pages..:((( that the file was transferred from Buffalo to their private mail office in September, slept there for a while, then someone remember that he has to send it, so the file show up in Damascus in January 2009.
So, we lost about 5 month, I were to be with my husband now. When I knew what happened I did a small nervous breakdown...5 month out of our life, no one has the right to take it...but what can we do, I wish that God will answer my pray and tears, and give me the chance to return to my husband, hopefully next month.
About nightmare, I am an expert, sometime I used to wake up crying...it isn't fair, but we can not do anything.
In our case, I blame lot of people, I blame myself and my husband for not doing any research, we took it as a very easy procedure, witch it wasn’t. I blame our lawyer for taking our case for granted, and treate it with less importance, and for not being proactive, we did lot of stuff, that I knew from this forum and that the lawyer didn’t tell us about witch helped our case. I blame the person who forget to send my file from buffalo to damscus, for taking our life for granted as well.
Lot of people to blame, but no action could be taken. I live on the hope to get my PR as soon as possible.

Oh boy so the entire process in Damascus takes about 5 to 7 months which means I'll see my husband before . Good and bad :0(. Rorita I know how hard it must be on you. Other people make the mistake and you end up paying for it!!!! it's unfair.
in your opinion should I start asking for CAIPS notes or in a few months??? I like to be prepared and be ahead of them. Give me your thoughts.

I think it is very early to order the CAIPs, you have been just approved for sponsorship right, so the info in the CAIP won't give you much information.
In my opinion, give it 3 month from the AOR date, if no new communication happened, ask for CAIPS, so you will know in what stage is your application, and what is their next step, either interview, or ask for new document, or the best ...in the decision stage.
From post here and there, Damascus is been fairly active and fast, after 3 to 4 month of the AOR, there is an interview or a decision, so be patient and wait.
But take in consideration 1 thing, your husband is Lebanese, and from post over this forum and my lawyer info, they do some intense background check on the male Lebanese being sponsored, for obvious reason, witch is the war and all the bad stuff happened in Lebanon.
my advice for you , keep collecting new proof and evidence for the continuous relation between you and your husband, phone bills, gift, money transfer, email, skype...anything that proof that you are on a continuous relation

I hope by visiting him in Septemberthat's more than a proof.... i can give him a copy of my flight ticket and passport been stamped. We talk to each other more than emailing each other since by the time I'm home he's in bed. Well i'll collect more evidence but it's mostly the same.

Thanks Rorita. Wish me a luck I have an exam this afternoon :0(.

Talk to u Tomorrow.
Have a good day.

good luck in your exam, ..:)
well actualy I will have a good evening it is 8:00 pm lebanon time, with a very nice weather...it is about 27 C.
