well usualy I say " min timik la daynit rabna", it straight to his ears..:))
I hope everything will turn good for all of us...:)
today is easter friday, I will try to pray double for me and my husband and , everyone on this forum...I hope he will hear from me...

Called my husband today and told him we have a long road ahead and perhaps a bumpy one from the immigration. I turned 30 April fool but hearing everyone story make me more nervous and asking my husband to write me more letters.
The problem in Lebanon every time he calls me somehow the place where he calls they don't provide him with a receipt, is that true???? why is it so different in Lebanon??? why they can't provide him with a receipt. I'm using my long distance phone card and I keep them all so I don't care what they say if they are going to base on documents I will give them 1000 card that I spend only in one year.
On the top of that I'm still waiting for my marriage certificate which is taking for ever to be registered I called yesterday and gave them shit. It's been more than 10 weeks and still didn't register anything. All I sent with my application a record of marriage which I"m sure they putting it on hold until they receive the actual one.
Hopefully I will end up in Lebanon before my husband interview. I'm sure there is no way out for him without an interview.
I'm praying every day but only god knows how much is painful without having to love one beside you.... No matter how long I talk to him it feels a long time for me. I'm like you Rorita I can't sleep and when my parents is trying to calm me down I ended up screaming at everyone.........I have no mood to talk to anyone and the more I'm reading in this forum the more I'm negative. Why is that I don't know???

yup. when i read the forums i got depressed:P before i didnt really care

anyways about the phone record, if he calls from a place where he know sthe owner he can ask him to get him a copy of his monthly bill, i did it once for another issue and the guy gladly gave me the copy, all i did is i highlighted the numbers i called.

The problem I had a civil marriage in Canada but the church marriage is going to take place in Lebanon in September since my husband family all live there. To register a civil marriage in Canada it takes 10 weeks so I'm in my 12 weeks now and didn't receive anything yet because they are behind. The only thing I have is a record of marriage but i explained my situation to the immigration and they said It should be ok. I don't want believe it but let's hope they will accept it.

Rorita my husband is calling from the main central in Beirut. He asked them but they told him they can't provide him with a receipt and it should show on my phone bill. It doesn't anything. He calls for almost 3 hours a week and it's been since almost 3 years. I told him it can be. He should ask them because he needed for immigration information but they seem they don't want to help.

what is the main central in beirut? i never heard of it, and i live in beirut!

btw i couldnt register my marriage, but they said its ok! aslong as the marriage is legal in the country where it toke place.

Marlena, what you mean by the main central in Beirut?? there thousand of phone central in beirut...do u know the name of the region, or the street?
concerning the phone bills record, you can not get it here in lebanon easily, or worth, you don't get it at all when you are not using your own cellphon or land line. and even when using these 2, I guess he need to make a formal request from the cellphone compagny in order to provide him with the record.
why don't u call him from canada, it is cheaper, and you can order your phone record over the internet, like my husband did, it came very details, with number called, date, duration, (between before marriage my husband used to call me daily for 1 or 2 hour, and when I returned lebanon, he call me daily for 2 or 3 time for at least half an hour each time, the minute is for 7 cents from USA to lebanon using Alosmart card) but calling from lebanon is soooooo expensive.
Did you find the interview i told you about?

Hi Rorita,
Happy Easter by the way... I have to ask my husband with Central Beirut is calling from? As for me I'm calling with long distance phone card that u use and you threw them after but I'm keeping them all. The only problem they don't show where you are calling from because it's a number you dial and you than you put a pin number and it gives me almost 30 minutes to call my hubby to his cell. I don't know if there any better deal with any company. I have to ask. Is your husband lives in Canada??? if he does please ask him which company is he dealing with...
Thanks a lot for interview questions. I will fill them out and send them to my husband to study them. It really helps to know what kind of questions he may expect during his interview.

Happy Easter for you too Marlena,
Well in fact my husband lives in Michigan, but as soon i get my PR , we will relocate to canda, he use Alosmart from the USA, he also call a number enter a pin code, then my number, he order credit online or something like this, and we keep the pin card as our onwn pin. this is why he was able to ask over the internet from alosmart and other comnpgany we used to use for detailed phonbill.
You welcome concerning the interview list, add some question from your own case, personel, family, hobies, like , desilke...education, future plan, ...anything that can come up in your mind, like this he will be really prepared, as well as you, I don't know in what cases, and I don't know in what countries, they sometime do an interview over the phone with the sponsor.
sobe prepared, and this is the only way to know something you didn'y know about your husband, that you want to know, where he can't say...oufff you ask too much...:)

I'm using the same card but I buy them from a convenient store so I don't know if I call the company if they can provide me with the history. I'll give it a shot.
Did you know I'm going to Lebanon in September. I can't wait to see my husband, I swear I can't sleep at night. I hate weekends since I feel so lonely at home and miss my husband way too much.
Going crazy perhaps but I find the time goes by so slow during the weekend. I don't know how I'm going to wait for another 5 months before I see my husband. I'm sure it must be hard on you too.
We're calling each other almost every day.
BTW you should move to Ottawa it's much better than Toronto I swear. I live in Ottawa and went twice to Toronto which I found it's too crowded like NY.

If you are using the same card, you should be able to get your phone record.
I am happy for you that you are coming to lebanon in September, Hope you have a good time with your husband, and lebanon is very lovely in spetember, the weather is cool.
and yes, it is very hard to be far from my husband, and in lebanon, since we have a small society, and everyone ask question, and interfeer in other people business, so it was very bad period, being apart, the stress, the society presure...boujasim knows what i am talking about...but, I hope we will reach our goal soon, and all this pain will be a memory in our life.
well in fact we will live in windsor, becuase my parent in law and my sister in law live in michigan, and we want to stay near them

It's funny it's been since almost 5 years I didn't visit Lebanon, my husband is the one who end up coming to canada, hope it wouldn't be a negative effect on my application. Every time I want to go something had happen so this time I told myself I don't if it's the end of the world I'm going and it's final. I'm staying 6 weeks in Beirut so I don't know how cold it is between mid September and October.
My husband can't wait to come to Canada but I keep telling him why on earth we don't live in Lebanon and he said situation is not stable and I wouldn't be able to live there since when I left I was only 10 years old so I don't know what he meant because I really love Lebanon and mostly the weather that you can't compare it to here.

well the weather in lebanon between september and october is very nice, cool, not hot and not cold...the best.
well, let me tell you this, from what I know, and to be fair, maybe 60% of the lebanese people would like to immigrate . always the situation isn't stable in lebanon, each day we have problem, security problem, blast here and there, assasination, just today some outlaw people in baalbak killed 4 army member for revenge... life is expensive and the salary are low, and the life style is by far very different from USA and canada, i lived 9 month in USA, and when I returned, there was lot of stuff that bothered me in lebanon.
So good luck in your application, and take your husband and start a new life in canada
