Is Temporary Resident Visa required during PR processing?

My husband (primary applicant) and I (co-applicant) just received AoR for EE CEC.
My status in Canada is an international student and has valid Study Permit, however I didn't bother to apply for the Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) when last time I renewed my study permit because I won't travel outside Canada. I'm wondering if the TRV is a requirement for our PR application?

No, it's not. if you got valid study permit that means you are in the country legally , and that's good enough .
