is major depression "inadmissible"?

Hi all,
I am thinking about applying to Canada and I am here now as a student. There is one problem though: two years a ago, I had a major depression episode, and whereas I have never been hospitalized and I am fine now, I am still taking meds and see a psychiatrist here, in Canada. I would not qualify for disability or something like that.
May I be deemed inadmissible because of the past depression? Should I mark this condition on the questionnaire and mention it in the medical exam, but state that it is over now? Or should I not mark it at all? Will CIC phone my clinic to check for details?
Thank you for any answer!

No. Major depression shouldn't be a problem anymore that acid reflux disease, as long as it is controlled. CIC isn't going to conduct a medical background check, they will go off what the doctor who conducts your medical exam says. If you don't have to mention your depression, then don't. If they ask you about it, don't lie, just let them know it is under control.
