Are domestic flights banned inside the province for permanent residents who arrived from foreign countries?

I asked this question to CBSA and federal Covid hotline last week. Their answer: if you do not show symptoms upon landing in Canada, you are allowed to take a domestic flight and proceed directly to your quarantine destination. At the airports, they apparently check temperatures now and do...

PGP - Integration after they arrive

Hi everyone, My parents want to do "soft landing" (land in March and leave after few days) and then come back in late summer for a longer stay and settle (get bank account, health cards etc). For a drivers license exchange, does the exchange period start from landing date, or when they get...

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

I am in the same boat, DM for PA was in the 1st week of December. My parents are living outside Canada, and I am wondering if it is their local VO, which will be issuing the visa, is slowing down things.

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

My file is still in Missisauga as well, although the PA has decision made since early December... And while one of the agents confirmed to me that application has been approved, another one told me it is still in process and overseas LVO is going to make the final decision. Confusing... I want...

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

@Empirical-Scientist ,thanks so much for your replies! Good to know that the PPR would still come from CPC-M and that we'll likely be given options for where to submit passports. (When I asked the CIC call centre agent the same question, they told me that the file would be forwarded to another...

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

@Empirical-Scientist, just wondering: are your parents in Canada now? I am trying to understand what happens when decision is made in Missisauga, but parents are overseas, and how long it takes. @YULIA-2016, in your case, was it the Warsaw office that issued the passport request? If your...

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

To me that email reads that they still require biometrics for your mother. It is possible that an officer just quickly scanned through your file and sent this letter without checking thoroughly if biometrics was done or not. Does your mother have a proof, e.g. A payment receipt, a sticker etc? I...

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

I've got a similar letter when I sent a part of the docs and requested extension for PCC. Blue is standard wording, mine had the same. They are simply telling you that they need those docs to make the decision. I sent PPC and other docs to that email.I am not sure how that works for...

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

For Missisauga - 3 days to issue the second letter of instructions with deadline, and it came from a different email address. I then called IRCC and they took a look into my file and confirmed the deadline and receipt of the first portion of the docs.

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

I also had to wait for police cert (not India though). After the first 30 days I sent CIC a part of requested docs via email, explained that I am waiting for PCC to be received and translated (had to contact embassies to get some of them) and asked for 30 day extension. In response, the...

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

I saw the change in status on MyCIC from "we need additional docs" to "docs have been received", so I took it as a confirmation. I doubt that they acknowledge receipt, unless you ask a specific question on timelines.

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

Hi everyone, Just wondering: for medicals, do parents fall under "excessive demand threshold exception"? I see the references to "family class" as being exempt, but next paragraphs talk only about spouses or kids! Parents are obviously older people, with chronic conditions etc, I am wondering...

    Edmonton applications.

You do not see that on ECAS anymore... I found out from my GCMS report,by reviewing combination of fields. You can also call CIC and ask if your file has been transferred: they should see that on their screens.
