I landed on Oct 5 and a week later I flew back to my home country. I heard it will take 2 months for me to receive the PR card (it will be mailed to a friend in Canada, and she will bring it back to me in person).
Now I have something important which requires me to go back to Canada before i receive the PR card. I heard that we can fly to the US, and drive a private rental car to enter Canada; this way we don't need to have the PR card—the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (landing paper) will be enough for them to let us in. Is it true? If not, is applying for a PRTD my only option?
