Is it Okay to attest supporting document photocopies?

Hi. I'm sponsoring my spouse and I have had the following photocopies attested:

1. Marriage certificate
2. Birth certificate

Both are in English and attestation is not requested in the checklist. Regardless I thought it would be nice to have. Can I submit the attested copies? Or will this cause a problem?

You can submit attested copies, sure. If not required, it's a complete waste of money and time, but if they're already done, sure.
