Dear all,

I have a question for all of you ,i applied for PR application on 10/04/2010 before changes had come out. My NOC was 0311/3131.It seem that it will take 2 years or more but my question, what date they will count on???
1-The day we applied for CIO
2-Day received by Visa office.

finally,is it a good idea to send again a new PR application if it is faster?? What is the range time of the new applications?

I think its a much better idea to apply again which can double your chances for an early PR compared to your April 2010 application. It will be good if you can apply as early as you can. Canadian immigration system normally process the fist few huindreds of application on new rules very fast and then they slow down little bit and then moved into backlogs which happened to most of us who applied before June 26, 2010.

I am sure its worth a try again.

the question is? am i eligible for the refund of the other application? my status is In-process but inside they pending review.

I dont know the answer for your question on refund, hope someone here will answer you pretty soon.

But I recomment you to keep both application live so you can take advantage of whichever application get processed first. I think its worth a try than saving some cash. It will pay off for nice life in Canada sooner you can.

Best of luck RAMMOO

2 years or more is pretty much from the time the visa office sent the reply to the query. Some pre-June-2010 applicants it seems will have to wait until Summer 2013 before they can get their visas.

Of course, some will get their visas earlier than that - but if you have the means to apply again under the new rules, almost certainly your application will be processed more quickly than if you wait for your pre-June-2010 application.

If you apply now could you have your visa as early as next Spring (around April 2012).

I agree with Sans_May2010 in that you are best to keep both applications alive. If for any reason there is a problem with your new application, you still have your old application to fall back on.

When one of the applications reaches medical requests stage then CIC will ask you to withdraw the other.

I think the comfort factor of having a backup application is worth more than the mere processing fees, which are only a small cost of the total cost of emmigrating.

Hi Rammoo,

Sorry dear, that I have to give you the bad news. No, you will not be eligible for a refund as your application is "In Process".

But like Wayne and Sans_May said, if you have the means then you should apply ASAP. And the 2 yr for pre Jun applicants would begin from the time the VO receives the FULL package.

Rammoo, Please check point# 7.2 from OP manual

Federal Skilled Workers

7.2. Assessing applications against the Ministerial Instructions issued June 26, 2010

The CIO will assess the applicant‘s submission as-is and make a final determination of eligibility under the MI issued on June 26, 2010. To be eligible for processing, the applicant must meet all the criteria described in the MI. If the application is eligible for processing, the applicant will be informed. Once processing has begun, the cost recovery fee is no longer refundable.

If the applicant‘s submission is determined to be ineligible for processing, the applicant will be informed and will receive a refund if the fee payment was processed.

I am sure you did a pretty good job when you prepared your application......is there a chance of any error?????
