IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

I wish they would open in-person slots as well. I would volunteer myself as tribute and brace Covid for them.

Scarborough office has scheduled me to take the oath on January 24th. I have to travel to the US in October and have told them about it and have asked for urgent processing many times. They just don't care. But how on earth are they getting away with this? Scheduling people to take citizenship oath 5 months from now! Are they that stupid? I might not even be alive in 5 months. God damn these stupid people.

I'm a March 2021 applicant, confirmed from call center today that my secondary office has been assigned to Scarborough. A review on my UP request still is pending with everything else on progress but now it kind of takes the waiting to the next level because this esteemed office is only interested in giving oath slots that are 5/6 months out. I should probably be happy with a test invite for now

I also wonder what is the logic behind scheduling the oath so far ahead. My got scheduled to January 2022.
As for Mississauga office, I’ve seen some people getting oath invites these days which are scheduled in mid September

I had the same question. It looks it specifically depends on load of a particular office.
I've never seen anyone scheduled before me in Scarborough after I got my date announced (Nov 12). All further oath dates were scheduled after that.
However, you are right, Mississauga still schedules September, if I'm not mistaken.

They are asking because they DON'T have access to the exit records from the country by air before June 2020. CBSA started recording exits only from June 2020 and any exit from the country before that by air wasn't recorded.

A valid reason to be angry. IRCC must be held accountable in a way.

Hi, I read your timeline and I passed the test almost the same as yours (even earlier) and you already received your passport in August, that's amazing. I just saw my oath date in the status tracker (haven't received a formal invitation) will be in Jan 2022 and that's ridiculous. What's your reason for UP and how do I start?
