IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

Just an update that I did test on 23 Jan and had interview on 23 Feb. My first FP expired on 20 Feb 2021 so IRCC asked me to redo FPs which I did in Feb.

Today, 23 March I got Decision Made. Same for my wife. However, they didnt update status for my kid to Decision Made which I believe is an administrative process (but let me know if it is otherwise and I can call IRCC to find out more).

Scarborough office is picking up so hopefully there will be more Oaths and more test invites. Good luck to everyone!!

Yes I applied in Feb 2019, aor april 2019, inprocess since June 1019. I called them several times but in November 2020 and February 2021 I asked agent if all the background and security checks are done. Agent responded yes everything is completed and File is Test ready status since Sep 2020.

By definition, my application is also non routine as I got fingerprints request (did it twice as my first FP expired after passing test in Jan 23 and before interview on 23 Feb) and today it changed to DM. Until yesterday it was "in process".

First of all, dont worry about 'non-routine' status at this point in time. Your file is test ready so send a webform in a week or 10 days (if you do it soon, most likely knowing your file was accessed recebtly, they will not provide helpful response) and quote as follows "I have had a chat with agent in Sep 2020 and I was informed that my file is test ready. Since I have seen the news that IRCC has startes virtual test invites since December 2020, I was wondering when can I get a test invite." Keep it simple and straight to the point.

Ps: Technically speaking, per pre-recorded message when I called IRCC before last week, I reckon that IRCC treats application before 2015 as non-routine. In a way, IRCC has a 5 year time line to call something non-routine. Again, point is, dont hung up on "non-routine" part yet. Just send a webform in 7 to 10 days and see how it goes.

Oh ...I must-read.

All the best...Normally decision is made in a day or two after the interview. So 1 or 2 April you should be in DM. We did interview on 23 Feb, but new fingerprints requirement delayed DM. Still not bad as FPs were received last week..

Did you change your name, date of birth or something like that? These kind of stuff make a case non-routine.

Nope non of stuff you mentioned above, I only changed 2 home addresses in last six years. Nothing else comes to my mind which will make the case non-routine. Also the fact I was told by several IRCC agents over the last 25 months that its a routine application. Even remember asking last time I spoke with an agent in February 2021, She mentioned, Everything is done, you just have to wait for us to schedule the test invite.

I suggest you send a web form and tell them that your test was cancelled so you are expecting a new test invite. Also indicate you did fingerprints so ask them if you need to re-do fingerprints.

After the test does the ecas status remain “in process” ? I thought I might show me an update about the invite received.. wonder if they are not bothered updating any details between the test and (in process) and DM ?
