I moved from Hamilton to Bradford in Dec. My application was being processed in Hamilton but today when I received an email asking me to send scanned copies of my passport and I94, I realized my application has moved to Scarborough.

So something really strange happened today. I email my MP yesterday about delay in my application. I got a reply from MP office today for signing some documents and sending them back. I signed and sent those documents back. Within 40 minutes I received this reply for MP office. It’s really weird, first of all they were super quick in responding back? I emailed MP office once before in 2018 and they took approximately 1 week to get an answer from IRCC and reply me back. I spoke to several agents for past 25 months and everytime they said its a routine application. Last time I spoke with an agent late Feb 2021, she said your file is a routine application and we don’t need anything you are in the queue to be scheduled for test invite. But today MP office responded that my application is non routine and there is no processing time. maybe they are giving generic responses to everyone because its over the normal processing time?

Was your background check done? Did you ever ask the agents? Perhaps they’re still waiting for CBSA/RCMP/CSIS result. You’ve been waiting for so long.

Did you change your name, date of birth or something like that? These kind of stuff make a case non-routine.
