I am a June 9th, 2021 applicant that did the test on April 27th and it was marked completed on April 28th. I had to inform IRCC’s Scarborough office that I am outside Canada. Should I send them an email stating that I am available to return upon request? I am afraid they have forgotten my application and I really need to get my oath done prior to August. I know it’s not in my hands, but would an email help?
They will process your application even if you are not in Canada.
If you attended the test from outside Canada, you can likely expect an interview around the time the processing gets completed. This interview might ask reasons for your travel, how long you were outside Canada, your return date, and your occupation in Canada. Just the final formalities before scheduling you for Oath.
You will have to be in Canada for Oath though. I did see 2 cases in this forum where applicants did Oath from UK and US.

Thank you so much. I am currently looking at the test invite email but did not see the processing office, or could it be
DN Cit CAL Scheduling / Convocation CAL Cit RN (IRCC). I've got a couple of emails from them, which of the emails should I be looking at? Thank you so much for your time

Thanks for the reply! I hope I don’t get an interview since it’s random from my understanding. Some folks claim that it takes a long time after the interview to finalize the application.

I am ready to fly tomorrow if they want, but hopefully I won’t have to wait long.. Also, it’s discouraging that people who applied late last year are already getting oath while people who applied earlier are not. I think their whole process is one big random mess.

I sent email to SCR office for request to schedule me for Oath. My test is been completed since 26 Jan. No update since than. Below is reply ( They are quick in reply for saying No. )

---------------------------------

Good day,

Citizenship Applications entails several stages and the knowledge test is simply one of these stages. A final review is yet to be conducted on your file before a decision is rendered. We will not expedite any applications for ceremony without a final decision on file.

It is your responsibility to ensure you keep all documents valid in the event you need to travel.

Regards,

Scarborough IRCC Team / L.TA (Citizenship Officer)

As I now moved out of Toronto to Niagara falls. Filled out webform today. Does anyone know if it makes any difference for oath ?
