IRCC Scarborough Applicants - Online Test/Interview/DM/Oath

Hey folks, I'm a May 19, 2021 applicant. My brother and I applied from the same household & within seconds of each other ONLINE. The facts surrounding our case are practically identical except for the fact that we're 2 diff people. Despite us both being in the GTA, his case went to Vancouver, while mine went to Scarborough. His test was taken and marked completed in Feb while mine was marked complete on Jan 25th. Lang, Prohibitions, & Presence still in progress in my case while he's about to have his Oath ceremony tomorrow.

I sent an email to Scarborough convocations email (listed in this thread) asking them if there is any possibility to join him for the Oath. Haven't heard back since last Wed. Any suggestions from anyone? Just be patient I guess? It feels like SCR is a blackhole for citizenship applications while other offices are actually doing their job.

First, your applications are independent, so you joining in his ceremony would be completely out of the question, even if a decision had been made on your application. Second, as long as things are marked as "in progress" and you have not received an invitation to take the oath, there is not the slightest chance of you being able to take the oath.

Yes I sent email, no reply yet. Just to understand, if all steps are completed except the oath still DM is not made, what more they check and what conclude them to change the status to DM?

My guess is that it may be just a matter of someone picking up your file and moving things to the next stage.

Yeah, I figured as much but sent an email purely out of "why not" thinking. I know I just have to be patient, like everyone here.

Folks, this is such a great coincidence!! I just got an invite (tracker update) for the OATH for May 9th from Scarborough office. Maybe the email to them prompted them to look at my case? Holy smokes batman!

Hi there, did you get any reply from SCR office?
Is there any update on portal?

Reply I got was that they forwarded to concern department ( Replied in about 1 hr) but no update or action from their end since.

Yeah, looks like a handful of May 2021 applicants got their updates today. Apparently, the tracker was updated by the officers but none of the updates were coming across to us. I.e. My DM was updated on April 12th but the tracker did not reflect this update until today. Supposedly, the tracker was fixed just this afternoon.

With the tracker now working, any Scarborough June online applicants got any updates after test completion? Mine still shows only background and test completed. gave the test on feb 11th….

Completed my Oath on April 2. My certificate arrived before the end of the following week.

This week brought my certificate at a Service Canada office (Richmond Hill) to submit my passport documents. The lines and wait times are EXTREMELY long! We were in line over 5 hours this past Friday to get in! If you do not make it inside the office before 4pm, then they WILL send you away! The office opens at 8:30 but people line up as early as 7am! If you are OK to send your documents by email and not in much of a hurry do it! If you decide to go to a Service Canada office bring food and maybe a folding chair!

Glad you posted this, so we know what we're in for. I'm planning to go to 4900 Yonge when I get to this stage...hope it's not like this!

Someone reported that people are waiting overnight in Mississauga. Most likely it will be similar situation at downtown.

I sent an email to the one provided by Shmak2017. However, I never got a response from SCR. I happened to check yesterday afternoon and there it was. I'm also following the May 2021 application thread where it looks like a handful of others also got updates yesterday and today, though not all from SCR.
