Interview plus additional documents

Hello!
I have a question, my husband had medical exam in November and last week Immigration asked us one more time for police certificate and few days later they asked my husband to go for interview. On website where we can check our status of application they post that:
We sent you correspondence on xxxxx If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
Can someone explain me why they are asking for police certificate one more time if they already made medical check. And if you know what that interview can be about. I feel that everything is going backward. I’m starting to worried

They can request any document while application in process. They might not be satisfied with police certificate which you have provided, so just try to get another one. In terms of interview, its all about genuineness of relationship and details given in the application that they may ask. You can search through the forums, there are quite a few posts available for interview.
