Hi,

I have been accepted to take part in an internship/ work experiance at the University of Toronto.
I have just gained my MSc (liverpool, UK), I will not be enrolled in a study programme at the uni, I will not be paid, it is voluntary.
I e mailed the London office and they sent me a link for co-op internship programmes

However it leads to a permit for students already in Canada!
Think I need a study permit just to cover me?
A work permit doesnt seem appropriate, seems I can only apply when I get there(hopefully!)

Can any one help me out?

Thanks Dan

Co-op (cooperative education) implies that you're still a student. If you're coming to Canada as a student for less than 6 months, you don't need a study permit. I randomly picked a page where this is stated: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/france/visas/study_six_months-etude_six_mois.aspx?lang=eng&view=d, but it's the same for all other embassies, I suppose.
