Hi all,
I recently got refusal for my spouse for an Multiple Entry TRV.
Reasons were:
(a) Purpose of visit
(b) Tie to Canada and country of residence

She showed her own bank account+ property. But I didn't understand what other purposes could there be except visiting spouse and what they mean by tie to Canada?

Any help is appreciated.

i am going through the same agony :(...i dun know why they make it so tough for the spouses

Question is do they want us to apply 6-month VISA or till study permit? and in most of the cases they have some reason one way or another!

I believe you should provide documents to show ties to her home country. This could be her school letter/Property on her name (if available). 2ndly, I believe everyone should provide documents mentioned in checklist. I am personally not in the favor of providing cover letters or statement of purpose like people do. Providing too many letters could lead them to be suspicious. So stick to the checklist and what they have asked to provide on cic website.
Did you apply using paper application or online? How much time did they take to get back to you after you applied?

@se7en

but applying online its a requirement to give multiple letters like support letter, invitation letter, financial support letter, purpose of visit etc
