Maybe they want to check if the applicant’s record is clean while being in Canada.
Well my wife has been here for more than 6 months and i went to RCMP to get PCC and they said they cannot give PCC since the worker is in Canada and the IRCC can contact RCMP directly if they need additional information... I even called the IRCC call center and they gave me the same answer are you able to get the RCMP PCC?

I remember seeing people here going to commissionaries to get there criminal record. https://www.commissionaires.ca/en/national/service/individual/electronic-criminal-record-checks

Yeah commissioners don’t ask so many questions they are straight forward to the work.
But did you get a request from IRCC to get your Record checked?

Did you try calling them?
Ask for any notes on the file
I did not try calling. I'll just request the GCMS notes and wont bother them by calling.

No news is good news really. I know it will take time

I have a feeling that the reason our applications are a bit slower than the rest of the last quarter and January applications is because we had Christmas break in between which prolonged the processing times.

Hopeful by the end of May or early June there should be some update. I have seen some November applicants getting landing interview dates already.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Received AIP and SA today! Hoping for a decision made message sometime next week! Haven’t been able to link our application online so I can’t see all the updates but we were there pleasantly surprised at how quickly things are moving!
