No you do not need to cross a border....that's outland applicants. You are landing at the Etobicoke office. You'll be done after your appt. Then you'll just wait for your pr card.

Happy to know that. Thank you for the clarification, Simpsol22.

That's still good but we have our moments

congratulations to all who got their PR, DM letters and landing interview letters... and good luck to those who will do their landing interview this coming week. :)

August applicants are still waiting... 18 months.....

"We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in Calgary IRCC will contact you to arrange an appointment for the finalization of your permanent resident application."

this is part of the e mail that we received this morning, does this means a relationship interview or just have to go down to Calgary and get everything finalized? :)

for those of you who are still waiting for your pr, hang in there, i've been so frustrated too, you're asking me how is 14 months of waiting is a hell... i guess we all have our reasons, and we are all in different situations, if i wasn't persistent in calling cic every week and e mailing my consultant every now and then i guess i'd still be waiting until now.

You are done. Not a relationship interview. Its your landing appt. That's the decision made letter

Hi Guys,

I want to share some great news! This will happen for you, too! I got to the finish line! Thank you so much for all your support. Everyone on this forum has been so supportive and I've received so much. Wishing all of you get to where I am today. I know you will.

I'm a December 22, 2015 applicant. I have received my landing interview on Feb 10, 2017. It's quite surprise even I know that the CIC is working on December, 2015 applicants right now. Because I haven't received any SA or AIP before the landing interview. My landing interview will be on Feb 16, 2017.

For your reference, here is my timeline.
December 22, 2015 Received by CIC
Feb 05, 2016 First AOR
June 10, 2016 Second AOR
June 17, 2016 Criminal Record request even I have already submitted before. I resent another copy again to the CIC

Feb 10, 2017 Landing Interview Schedule for Feb 16, 2017

I didn't submit my medical test when I originally sent out my application, because I know it would definitely take longer than one year. And I don't want to redo my medical test again. I did my medical test by myself without the request from CIC in June, 2016 and sent with my criminal record together to CIC in June, 2016. It showed that they received my medical test on July 14, 2016.

I know this process can be frustrated. And I know it's not easy. Just keep going. And trust that it'll all work out in the end. It usually does. If you need someone to talk to about this, please get in touch. I know where you're coming from. And I'd love to help.

Have a great weekend! :) I'll do my best to help answer your questions and concerns. Please just ask. Good Luck.

Congrats Sally! Thank you for the encouragement.

hello! goodmorning everyone!
so after painful 14 months, we received our SA this morning, along with the letter that says my pr would be finalized in Calgary ( just have to wait for a week for the dates, as per my consultant) i checked ecas and it says there, decision made, and that they received my medical result too...
how long does cic usually e mail back for the dates to finalize the pr?
btw, id like to thank everyone here who've been so helpful :)

Congrats June! Awesome news.

I have the interview in Etobicoke where my PR application will be finalized. I am wondering if this is the landing interview or do I need to cross the border after this interview to do the landing.

the letter reads like this:

Dear Sir/Madam:

I am pleased to advise you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview that has been scheduled for:

Date: XXXX Time: Anytime between xxxx
Location: Etobicoke

In order to grant you permanent residence, you must provide us with the satisfactory original identity documents. All applicants must provide their original valid passport at the landing interview.

----

So, am I doing the landing interview at Etobicoke or do I still need to cross the border after this interview?

Thanks

Congrats Krishr!!! Great news. No you do not have to cross border.

Hey Simpsol22,
