From your previous posts I think now the biggest issue is that you have to go as far as 600km to redo your Med right?
Then go do it, go 600km to do it.

Negotiating with CIC (even with help from your MP) is not fun! After all those efforts you make and bargining, you might finally get a closeby doctor authorized to do you Med, but your case would have been delayed for another few months and, most of the chances, you'd regret today's decision (prefer to negotiate against CIC than go 600km distance).

Ah, when I left previous reply, I didn't realise their Dr was 600km away. I doubt there's any way to negotiate this with CIC.

So my husbnd rec'd this letter today in regards to PR, does this mean were almost done??? The medical was sent a few weeks ago?

This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or
Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The
Canada Immigration Centre in Ottawa will contact you to arrange an appointment for the
finalization of your permanent resident application.
IMPORTANT: You and your family members, if any, will be required to present original
identification document(s) to the Canada Immigration Centre at your appointment. A final
decision concerning the granting of permanent residence status will be made at that time. If
permanent residence is granted, the name that will appear on the confirmation of permanent
resident document is your name as it appears on your passport or identity documents.

We applied Jan 2015....is this possible??

Thansk :)

Congratulations!

Wow, this is such good news... soon we'll all be able to live like normal people. I love it.

yes, it is fascinating!

However, due to inconsistent timelines for applicants it is hard to predict anything. The applications are being picked up and processed in a random order. (referring to the September'2015 applicants)
