Hello Ponga,

Thanks for your response.

Our Police clearance has to come from India and it will take 4 to 6 weeks. Is it possible to write this note. As you said they are aware of FBI backlog but in this case it's not FBI.

It doesn't matter where it is came from, you can send an explanation as Ponga advised.

Hi All,

My wife sponsor me with Inland application. Just wanted to know if it's a good idea to show my "notice of assessment" or information regarding my job (letter of employment) because my wife does not earn much but I have good job. And we both are in Canada.

Appreciate your reply..

It's not necessary, the only reason they ask for the notice of assessment from the sponsor is to check that she is not collecting social assistance, it doesn't matter if she doesn't earn much.

Good Afternoon everyone! ;)

Here is our situation: me and my wife got married on March 28, 2015. She is currently on the work permit which expires June 23rd 2015. As a result we are still waiting on our Marriage Certificate to send it with inland sponsorship application as well as OWP. The whole process is really complicated, as a result in the process of gathering documents and filling the forms out we have got few questions:
1) firstly, what if we don't recieve Marriage Certificate before her wp expires, in that case would they still review our application if we send it after the 23rd? If it is risky, should we extend her stay as a visitor?
2) second of all, do we have to fill ot the Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union [IMM 5409] form, if we are married?
3) furthermore, do we still have to provide all the papers that prove that we have been together for more than a year?
4) and lastly, we have got a police certificate from our country, however, do we still have to provide one from Canada as well?

I know it is a lot of writing :( but we are afraid something might go wrong. I highly aprecciate your help guys! ::)

1. If you don't receive the marriage certificate, send the PR package without it, but with an explanation that you are waiting for it and you will send after you receive AOR. If you send the PR package before June 23rd, she might be able to continue to work under implied status. Check the FAQ in my signature for more info.
2. No.
3. No, you don't have to prove that you were living together for more than a year, but you have to provide proof that you have a genuine relationship and proving of living together helps it, so send as much proof from the list as you can.
4. No.

So I guess it won't be a problem sending the whole application without the marriage certificate? Because I have read in this forum that it increases our chances to be denied :(

Hello, yeah you should update cic about any changes in your job, address etc.
If you don't have the AOR yet, its a good idea to wait for it before re sending other documents.

I already receive the AOR so should be just send them the new info about his new Job? If yes is it the same address as when we send the Sponsorhip app? Thanks

hi fellow inlanders,

just wondering, I am ordering right now the fee receipts for my inland PR application and the OWP. Is it correct, that I order for the OWP form IMM 5401 and for the family sponsorship fees also IMM 5401 ? so I order 2 receipts and pay one for the PR application fees and the other one ($155) for the OWP ? I`m just a bit confused and wanna make sure. thank you in advance !

It should be $550 for the PR ($1040 if you pay the RPRF upfront) and $255 for the OWP.

You have to send them soon, but after the AOR should be fine. BTW, did you get married in Canada? If so, you should have received the certificate in 30 days.

Hi,

I have question regarding IMM5669 background check form. Is this form only filled up applicant or by both applicant and sponsor.

Also, My wife is sponsoring me but her income is not that high so can I show my NoA as well to say we both are earning money here.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks
