Hello Inlanders :)

Im may 2015 aplicant.Im wondering it can be problem for aplication if sponsor in the meantime was laid off from work but im working full time.

Thank you.

No, it does not. If you or your sponsor are collecting Employment Insurance during the time you are laid off, it is NOT considered welfare assistance. It does not affect your status at all.

There is a "New Entry and Update" tab on the spreadsheet. Pop in your details and one of the people looking after the sheet will update it :)

it says here you need to apply to extend, and then I believe implied status will work

Whoa... on the spreadsheet someone "KKee" is a Sept. 2015 applicant and got AIP April 2016?!?! I thought it may have been a CBSA expedited case due to being out of status or something, but they got OWP in Jan. 2016 so they had to have status. The next most recent AIP is from a March. 2015 applicant. Not sure how their application jumped so so far ahead of the queue. Super weird!

My Application was received on Dec. 17th. It took awhile and we were desperate. It arrives magically when you least expect it! Hope yours arrives soon!
You were on status at the time when u received ur OWP? Did u call CIC in between regards to OWP?

Has it been more than 90 days since he lost his status? If it hasn't, he should apply for Restoration of Status. This will make your lives a lot easier!

The OWP would have been pointless, because without status he doesn't qualify for the Pilot Program OWP.

If he reaches AIP stage (in ~ 17 months), he would then be eligible to apply for the `regular' OWP.

He should tread softly because of his status issue. Even something as simple as a routine traffic stop (or checkpoint) could make things even worse for him.

Good luck!

he has been out of status for almost 7 years so restoration was not needed.
I guess what I read about the OWP being sent in together with the application was slightly confusing for me, but on another note he is very careful with where he goes and what he does so I am staying positive that nothing interferes with his status issue since he has stayed under the radar thus far.
We have been together almost 6 years, living together since September 2014 and married September 2015.
I checked the status of the application its currently in process it started April 28, 2016.

Positivity is what I have to hang on to now.

Some applications are just faster, in my case, I lost about 2 months because of a typo (twice), still, my appl will be completed within a year and a half, which was faster than I thought.

Some applications are simple, ie, not suspicious, no children, etc. In my case, it was not suspicious and we had no children, so I expected fast times.
