Hello all,

I'm a bit confused as to the sponsor application status. On ECAS it says:

So the third point, does that mean that the application is in process? Should I request GCMS notes?
Most people get that as soon as they get AOR and ability to log into ECAS.

I've never gotten point 2 though, that's an interesting one. Have you actually gotten AOR?
Did it take you 10 months to get AOR like it did for me?

Now is probably a good time to order notes, mostly because CIC may already be processing you and may have already been issued some kind of correspondence (asking for updated junk) and may have accidentally emailed McDonalds instead of you. CIC tends to do this.

No, it didn't take 10 months to get the AOR. Well, that depends. We received one on 3 December 2014, but without any UCI. Then on 27 February they sent an email requesting a CSQ. We received said CSQ after they sent another email saying that it was an error and to do nothing as they would communicate with MIDI. The next communication from CIC is the second AOR on 11 August.

A bit late, but we got the DM on August 26th, and the landing appointment is on September 17th in Vancouver. I'm still in shock - I can't believe it finally came! I just want to thank everyone for their help and patience - I really appreciate everything!

You're inland 2014, and you got a second AOR? I didn't think we got second AOR's.

Perhaps this has something to do with the Quebec process being different than the rest of Canada.

You applied May 2014?

After AIP it could take 1 day, or it could take 10 months. It depends if CIC makes you re-do any part of your application. They decide if you have to re-do things randomly.

If you don't have AIP yet (which I'm guessing you don't) it could be another month or two till you get AIP.

Good day All,

We submitted our application in 2014.

Received by CIC: on November 15, 2014
AOR: February 4, 2015
Medical sent: April 20, 2015.

And Wowwww I just heard from a friend that it may be because of the elections that they have stopped processing almost all streams except for the Express Entry; just to show that their initiatives have been successful.

If that was true then it would be just sooo sad.

Cheers

I think your dates might be off. Do you mean to say 2014 for all of those?

You're probably right about them only processing EE up to elections, but they also have PR quotas to satisfy.
All of their quotas are based off year's end, but I can see how they might want to make things look better for elections.

lol Yes thank you. I fixed the dates. It was in 2014 that they received the application.

Well yes I guess that might be what they are doing. If other parties knew about this and had evidence to support that thought, then it wouldn't look good on them at all. Anyways, patience patience patience :)

Are you sending it separate from your PR app? If so no need to include photos.

Landed today.

Interview was pretty straighforward. The only thing that kind of threw me off was them asking for my latest work permit.
Luckily, I've always carried that with me.

Thank you all for the support and updates.
The process became that much easier because of this forum.
