For PR landing in inland application, after you get the DM, you will have an interview which is basically the landing interview

Actually you can have an interview other than the landing interview if CIC has doubts of your relationship.
It is more common with outland applicants, but happened a few time with inlanders.
I think it's more common with outland applicants, because they not necessarily live together with their spouse, therefore they don't have so strong proof.

Yes, you can get OHIP with AIP. Go to Service Ontario with the proof and you should be covered by the time you walk out. The card itself should arrive in mail few weeks later.

OWP, I got mine in a little less than 4 months, paper should be a little faster than online.

does anyone know if its safe to ship passport internationally?

i'm currently holding a Cambodian passport i send my passport back to Cambodia to get it renew, now my passport is done i'm thinking of sending it back to Canada via Fedex do you guys think it's a safe way to get it shipped?

My sister has had her passport Rewed from back home ( Africa) and sent to her via DHL, I don't think there should be an issue especially if you are using fedex or DHL..if it was regular post then not..otherwise should be fine.

I did not receive any AIP. Should that be a concern? And how long does it takes after the medical is sent.

You don't need be worried, but your app will get delay between 30 to 90 days before to get DM. Good luck

guys, can someone please share their experience. just want to know how long it takes from the time CIC starts on an application till u get aip for inland?
cic put on ecas that they started to work on our application dec 29, 2015.

For me it took 16 months since the application was received. And around 8 months after on ecas it said "we started processing of your application on..". I wouldn't rely too much on what is written in ecas

Took about 2 weeks between my medical appointment and AIP (I got DM without AIP)
