Congrats for people who received AIP or DM these days.

I envy you guys.

I originally submitted my PR application in 2012.

My application was refused due to my criminal record.
- Even though it wasn't illegal in Canada, I was inadmissible and I got a letter that I was indictable. I can see a lot of indictable offense on Craigslist everyday then.............................

Now I re-submitted a new PR application 2 weeks ago.

While I was waiting for my rehabilitation, I met "bartjones" from this forum in person - we live nearby.
He gave me some good advice when I didn't know what to do.

I write a small note to give the big help back to him because I contacted him a couple of days ago to inform my PR situation.
I realized he opened a lawyer office.

He' has been trying to help immigrants like me on this forum.
- When I got advice, he didn't have an office. He was a sponsor and spouse of an immigrant.
Typical lawyers don't do this and don't understand fully about immigrants' frustration.

I hope it's a good "Thank You" letter for him.

Anyone from aug 1 to 10 applicants here who receive their OWP ?

I am Aug 2 applicant, still waiting for my OWP. I called CIC last week and they confirmed that my OWP is being processed in Vegreville office but they cannot tell 'when' the processing will be ending. Asked me to call back after Nov 14.

They have got to power thru a bunch of AIPs if they want to catch up with the date they put on their website of the 17th. I wonder if they updated it further along than they are because of our increasing complaints? Because they have ALWAYS updated accurately based on the AIPs we see here, haven't seen them update ahead of the date we KNOW they are processing before....

That means they will be moving quickly if they want to not only CATCH up to the 17th, but more forward again this week.....

There are bus shelter advertisements available next to Mr. Alexander's constituency office in Ajax and I'm seriously thinking about renting them to make this suffering impossible to ignore.
