Congrats on becoming a PR today Nrajani_99! How long did your entire process take from AOR to landing?

Congrats to amelia1727 on your first stage approval!

Almost feels surreal that some of us are finally reaching the end of our immigration journeys!

Thank you mrs Canuck ... It took us. 10 months and a week ...
Hope u get through process too

Lol, I don't think you have anything to worry about Harmin. :) No, I don't think they would try to find where we are without a good reason, only if they suspect a fraudulant application would I think they would go so far. Even then, there are easier ways to prove that it's a fraud. Rest easy, friend...you have nothing to worry about! ;D
That's what i wanna say Daizey ...CIC Not Free For Track And Trace Any One Without Reason..But yes they will track u down if they r really got doubt about ur relationship ...but i don't think so they gonna waste their time for this forum without reason because we r here to discuss our matters only and here not much people those talk about their relationship ..am i right or wrong ?? :) :) :) :) :) :)

You're very right! Again, I think we were just trying to prove a point to those who were thinking of continuing the application even if they were no longer together. ;)

Watch out Harmin!!

:D R-E-L-A-X Harmin.

Well stated. Hopefully the couple will stay together, NOT for the sake of the application, but because it's what they want for their future.
I hope so ponga ...wishing them very good luck for their bright future in Canada ....god bless them

So we landed today at Ottawa. Lot beside cic was full so parked a block away at the municipal lot on bank street. Scheduled for 1:00pm, got in at 11:00 am (we drove in early from kingston). There was 4 kiosks, you are suppose to slide the landing letter under the closest kiosk. (There was no reception or sign, asked people already waiting there). They call your name from the letter pile at kiosk(1), in a first come-first serve basis.

We waited 30 min or roughly 4 sets of landers before us until our turn. We were called before some others because they didn't slide their landing letter under kiosk(1) to be in queue. She took the un-cut photos, proof of address(our lease), ID (drivers license), and passport. Asked the three standard questions to her, asked me if I still wanted to sponsor her. Done in 10 minutes. Was quoted 4-6 weeks for pr card.

Good luck to all!

+1, Ponga. As soon as I can repeat the action, another +1.

Guys, this is going to sound really silly and I feel like I should know this by now, but when my husband lands and becomes a PR, do we need to apply for the PR card ourselves (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/prcard.asp) or is that something that is put into motion by the landing office?

OMG OMG OMG!!!

I received my OWP in the mail just now! It's valid until 2017 which is a long time. So awesome! Trying to get my sin number tomorrow! Time to hand in those resumes 8)
